"Bachelorette" Bentley Shocker?

Chris Houston
Is the next episode of "The Bachelorette" going to be the most shocking in the history of the show? The biggest shocker because of Bentley? The trailer at the end of second episode of the Ashley Hebert 2011 season certainly provided a small taste of what is to come. What's the drama?

Bentley Williams, an investment banker from Utah, is about to fess up to "Bachelorette" Ashley or so it appears. The divorced father of a girl named "Cozy" is about to become the biggest public enemy on the show since Wes openly admitted he had a girlfriend. But Bentley is going a step further than Wes. Bentley is openly admitting he just isn't attracted to "Bachelorette" Ashley. During his private on camera interviews, Bentley has said what some may deem as the most horrific things. He's said he just isn't into Ashley. He's said he would rather be pursuing the heart of Emily Maynard. He even suggested he could have Ashley "tickle his pickle" but he wouldn't want to waste time walking down the aisle with a girl he's not into. But yet he still leads her on for the sake of competition. This guy is a major league creep. No "Bachelorette" spoiler concerning Bentley would surprise me at this point.

Let's face it, Bentley just isn't that into you, Ashley! Except he wants the world for some reason to know it. Maybe Bentley was doing the on camera private interviews and lost track of the fact that he was being such a huge jerk.
Maybe he's just a huge jerk. Either way, the next episode of "The Bachelorette" on Monday could be the most shocking of all time. A complete shocker thanks to Bentley? It's almost guaranteed. I can't imagine anything much worse could come out of his ill-triggered mouth. Although host Chris Harrison has teased that things definitely do go downhill from this point forward. That's hard to imagine and that might just be the most shocking element on the Monday edition of "The Bachelorette." How can it get worse when the guy has already cast himself as "Creep of the Year?" Yet it seems the shocker is still to come.

Harrison says things are about to come to a head. We've seen bits and pieces of the trailer that make you believe Ashley is left in tears and devastated. Harrison has already gone on the record as saying Bentley Williams is the "worst suitor" ever and that he tried multiple times to try and warn Ashley. So it seems the two are destined to be on a collision course for a very tumultuous "Bachelorette" show on Monday evening.

I've wondered before in previous articles why Bentley was allowed to go through with his intentional assault on love. Why didn't the producers or Harrison step in to end his reign of terror? Harrison says he did attempt to inform Ashley on several occasions and that we will see those deliberations in the "Bachelorette" shocker coming our way on Monday or in the next few episodes. One thing is guaranteed-it's going to be classic "Bachelorette" drama television. Will it provide the biggest "Bachelorette" shocker of all time? It might be surprising of just how cruel on person can be-but it won't be shocking that Bentley Williams is going home. How he goes home and the aftermath might be the most compelling television of what is set to transpire on the show on Monday. Will Bentley leave "Bachelorette" fans scratching their heads as to how one person can be so cruel? That certainly seems likely. Is there any saving grace for a guy who has become the biggest villain the show has ever seen? Surely the producers of the show wouldn't allow Bentley to be "The Bachelor." Can you imagine an entire season of a guy who is so cocky? That would make the return of Brad seem tame. Brad kind of seems like an angel compared to Bentley. Even the old Brad who left two women standing at the Final Rose Ceremony.

I'm sure "Bachelorette" fans are scouring the internet to see what "Bachelorette" spoilers and rumors are floating around. I am once again choosing to watch it play out the way the producers had hoped by witnessing the Monday "Bachelorette" shocker episode live(okay, taped but live.) It isn't going to be pretty and Harrison has already said that what happens in the upcoming episodes between Bentley and Ashley nearly shuts down production of the show.

So will it be that juicy? I don't need any stinkin' "Bachelorette" spoilers to tell me that Bentley is leaving or getting the boot.
I'm sure most of us are quite aware of that by now. So it will be interesting to see it play out. Regardless of how he leaves, he'll leave the show as the biggest villain ever.

Maybe that means somebody somewhere will offer the most controversial figure the show has ever seen his own reality television show. Maybe he's destined to capture some ratings by going on "Survivor", "Big Brother" or "Bachelor Pad."
Maybe VH1 will throw Bentley a bone for his new reality television show called "Bentley the Butt-head."

No matter what happens-you have to admit Bentley has certainly made a name for himself among "Bachelor" fans. We'll probably never forget the guy-good or bad-for what he has done this season in such a short period of time. It's unfortunate Ashley had to catch the majority of that in person.
