Bachelorette Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski Break Up

Following just 2 weeks after the breakup of Bachelor Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi, Entertainment Weekly and People Magazine are reporting Bachelorette Jillian Harris and fiance Ed Swiderski have broken up.

The couple reportedly broke off their engagement over the weekend, but with all the drama surrounding the reunion interview between Jake and Vienna on Monday night's season premier of The Bachelorette Jillian and Ed were able to keep the breakup quiet, at least for a few days.

Insiders with ABC, The Bachelor and the Bachelorette said they weren't surprised that Jillian and Ed broke up at all saying the two seemed to have an infatuation with each other, the same thing sources said brought Jake and Vienna together. Many people, including Jillian's family think she should have chosen runner-up Kiptyn Locke at the end of The Bachelorette.

Even before the final episode aired it was already being hinted Jillian chose Ed Swiderski over Kiptyn Locke and that Ed had already cheated on Jillian after they became engaged.

Entertainment Weekly did suggested both Jillian and Ed apply to be on the next season of the new ABC Bachelor/Bachelorette spin-off Bachelor Pad. The new show will air this fall and follow several former contestants as they live in a large mansion together trying for another shot at love.

There hasn't been a formal statement yet from either Jillian or Ed regarding the breakup, but ABC said they are respecting their privacy right now. No word on why the couple broke up or if there will be another fiery reunion interview like Monday's between Jake and Vienna.
