Bachelorette Jillian Harris Wants a Second Chance at Love

After watching the premiere of Brad Womack's second run as "The Bachelor," Jillian Harris realized that she too wanted a second chance at love.

As Jillian Harris told Us Weekly," I won't lie that when I heard he was getting a second chance, I was a bit green-eyed and thought seriously about hitting my "[Bachelor creator] MikeFleiss speed dial" and demanding he cough up my second chance, too."

The former Bachelorette also took the opportunity to defend Brad Womack. Although she understood how hurt Jenni Croft and DeAnna Pappas must have felt, Jillian admired Brad for doing something you don't see all the time. "He went against the rules of the show and just followed the rules of life."

Harris also felt that Chantal O's slap was undeserved and was "floored" at how much pressure Womack was getting from the contestants, from the media, and from himself. I'm with Jillian on this one. People need to give this guy a break and I have to give her props for defending him.

Still, I'm not crazy about the idea of giving Jillian Harris another season as "The Bachelorette." Although she certainly deserves a second chance at love, I'm just not sure it should come in the form of another reality dating show.

One obvious reason for not giving her another season is the fact that she has already had two chances, first on Jason Mesnick's season of "The Bachelor," and again as "The Bachelorette."

And on a personal note, I just don't know if I could survive another season of Jillian. She had the best chances of anyone (other than possibly Trista Rehn) because she had a fantastically appealing group of suitors to choose from, including Reid Rosenthal, Kiptyn Locke, and Michael Stagliano.

Yet she somehow managed to make lemons out of lemonade, by picking shady Ed Swiderski with his lime green shorts, rumored girlfriends, and disingenuous scripted promises to propose and to commit. While fans were busy worrying about country singer Wes Hayden's non-existent girlfriend, Jillian let a number of worthy suitors go.

I was rooting for Jillian during Jason's season and again during her season, but she really missed the boat when she let Reid Rosenthal go, not once but twice. During the finale, I hoped she would redeem herself by pulling a "Womack" (not choosing Ed at the end). Then, she had another chance to redeem herself by pulling a "Mesnick" (swapping Ed for Reid).

Of course, given that she and Ed have broken up, Jillian has likely learned from the experience and will be wiser for it. The problem is that if the "Bachelor" franchise gives her another chance, then they would have to do the same for the other twenty who did not end up at the altar.

Could you handle another season of Bachelorette Jillian Harris? Would you like to see her have a second chance at love?
