1. go to www.Microsoft.com
2. click on Downloads on the left of the screen
3. type in Media Player in the search box
4. click on the link Media Player 10
5. scroll down to Estimated Download Time and select the download speed that your computer uses
6. change the Language if needed
7. click on the Continue button
8. follow the instructions on the following screen to install any additional components that may be needed to continue with the download
a. look for the Information Bar at the top of your windows screen
b. right click on the bar and select Install ActiveX Control
9. in the Security Pop-Up window, click the Install button
10. scroll down to Estimated Download Time and select the download speed that your computer uses
11. change the Language if needed
12. click on the Download button
13. select Run This Program Now and click OK
14. click Run in the Security Pop-Up Window
15. Follow the instruction on the install window- Read and accept the terms by clicking on I Agree
16. Allow the program to install and then select the Next button to continue with the install process
17. choose the Privacy Options that you would like to install and click Next
18. verify the file types and click Finish
CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE JUST INSTALLED WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 10 ONTO YOUR SYSTEM!!
To Download a MP3 File:
1. Determine the MP3 you would like to play and locate the file on the internet to download.
2. Click on the file to download.
3. When the pop-up menu Save As appears, Click on My Documents
4. Click on the file My Music
5. In the File Name box, type in what you want to name the file - for example: DREAMER
6. When the download is complete, click the Close button and the pop-up window will close
7. Click on the Start button and select All Programs
8. Locate and click on Windows Media Player
9. Once open click on File
10. Click on Open and a pop-up menu will open
11. The menu should open to the file My Music - locate the name that you chose for your music download file
a. If the menu does not open into My Music then,
i. Click on My Documents
ii. Click on My Music and Click Open - and continue with #12
12. Click on the file name - for example DREAMER
13. Click on Open and the file should play in Windows Media Player
