Back Up Off POTUS

I was told today by one of my former friends that her husband lost his job in May 2008 because of President Obama. She also said that he hasn't been able to find work in over a year is because of POTUS. (Now you understand why she's a former friend.) The reason her husband hasn't found a job in over a year has to do with 6 months of unemployment benefits and not looking. My 19 year old daughter has a job. She just walked into a restarunt and asked if they needed more help. She told the manager that she was a hard worker (true) and she would be consistant. She asked him if she could have three days just to prove to him that she was worth it. Never hearing an offer like that, he told her to comeback the next day o730 in a white shirt and black pants. Six months later, she is a sous chef and is considering trying to get on Hell's Kitchen. So if my 19year old can do it, I'm believing that anyone can if they really try.

My former friend surprised me with her accusations against POTUS. And living here in Oklahoma, the reddest of the red states, there is no shortage of POTUS haters. I think the country is still in shock that POTUS Obama actually won the election. He and Biden were the only respite we had. Finally America can exhale. Eight years of suffocating, corporate deregulation of biblical proportions, it's enough to make you sick. I'm still recovering , as most Americans are, from the Bush Reich II. We have been through so much from Nixon to Regan to the Bushes. I'm surprised that we had to wait so long for a President that was intelligent, articulate, compassionate and more. The perfect family (at least that's the image). Us Black people know that had he not been the perfect man with the equally perfect wife and children, he wouldn't had made it to the Oval Office.

The hate-filled rhetoric needs to end. Okay, he's been in office for almost a year and he hasn't closed the hole in the ozone or cured cancer. He has done more in the past 12 months than his predecessor. Surely that should count for something. We've got a sitting president who earned the Nobel Peace Prize and donated the winnings to charity. H0w's that for class? Here is a man that is more concerned about America as a whole than a PAC or some other group that are only interested in their agenda. President Obama has continually shown that America, all of America is his agenda. We will never be able to heal until we let go of partisan politics.

Let the man do his job and pray that he is successful.
