Back to School and Beyond: Learning and Practicing Multiplication Math Facts Online

Cherie Bowser
Multiplication is the mathematical operation of scaling one number by another. It is one of the four basic operations in elementary arithmetic with the other being addition, subtraction, and division. Multiplication is whole numbers in terms of repeated addition. For example 4 multiplied by 5 (4 x 5) can be calculated by adding 4 duplicates of 5 together 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 20.

Children normally start learning their multiplication table around second grade. When your child is going back to school and they come home with multiplication homework, they may need some extra help to practice. There are many free online sights that offer homework help, flashcards, and printable activities. Here are some that could help improve your child's division in math.
