Back to School Poem

Pencils, pens, scissors, folders, and glue;
Calculators, paper, rulers, and protractors, too.
New clothes and uniform styles for the upcoming school year
Make kids want to scream, dance, shout, and cheer.

Parents anticipating the many back-to-school sales
And store owners hoping to fill all of their the aisles.
Teachers making sure that they have what they need
Must follow a supply list of their own, indeed.

Kids may not like school, but they come in hopping
For the best they can find while school supply shopping.
The summer winds down as school will soon begin,
But doing their best in school allows everyone to win.

Enjoy the time off now with its every little perk
And come to school ready to study, learn, and work.
I hope you had a wonderful summer and somehow stayed cool.
God bless parents, teachers, and students for a great year in school!
