As the month of July starts to dim and August begins to set in, parents start to get excited, and children start to get a little uneasy. Going back to school usually looms at the end of August or beginning of September. The annual trip for back to school clothes usually begins somewhere near the beginning to the middle of August. The Ellwood City, PA area offers several different choices for back to shopping. Whether you have a teen ager or a pre-schooler to outfit for the year of education, you can find what you are seeking near the area at affordable prices. Three options set themselves apart from the rest. Consider these three options when planning your back to school excursions.

Beaver Valley Mall

Beaver Valley Mall in Monaca is easily accessible from the area on Route 60. The Mall features just about all of the stores you will want to visit: Dicks', Boscovs', Macy's, and JCPenny's. If you have younger children, The Children's Place and Gymboree are eager to help you find just the right outfits at prices you can afford.

Grove City Outlets

Head north on Interstate 79 and you will run right into the Grove City Outlets. This shopping mecca is a vast area with over one hundred factory outlet stores available for shopping. If you are looking for a particular store, chances are that store is here. Designer stores like Tommy Hilfiger, Van Husen, Old Navy and more. Stores for the younger set are here as well like The Children's Place, Gymboree, or Gap Kids and Babies. If you are looking to save money this is the place for you, just remember this facility can get rather crowded on the Weekends.

Cranberry Township

A shopping location every Ellwood resident is familiar with is Cranberry Township. While Cranberry does not have a single shopping location like the Mall or the Outlets, the vast number of stores at your disposal is amazing. In addition to staples like Target, Wal-Mart, and Kohl's, you can find The Children's Place, Gymboree, Barnes & Noble, and Justice (formerly the Limited Too). As you can see Cranberry has pretty much every store you could possibly be looking to shop.

The Ellwood City area offers several shopping options for the Back to School shopper. The variety of experiences and stores assures the something for everyone idea at any of the three above options. Remember to plan correctly, and stay within your budget. Following those two guidelines assures that sending the kids back to school will not be a chore. By taking advantage of promotions and sales, you can make your dollar go farther than you expected.
