Back to School Sales Tax Holiday is in August

August is that wonderful time of year when we break off that summer romance, kiss love goodbye and set the alarm clock for back to school days. In August 2007, Americans spent $7.5 billion on family clothing. In case you were wondering, America produces around 9.3 billion pounds of apples each year, with more than half of those apples produced by Washington State. There are 7.1 million teachers in the United States, so that should be plenty for your children to give the teacher and apple on the first day of school.

If you need some financial help with all that back-to-school shopping for the kids, the state sales tax holidays are already scheduled in most states. An excellent resource to learn more about the Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday is Associated Content Producer Irene Lynn's article titled: Back-to-School Sales Tax Takes A Holiday.

HELP - I Need Somebody

I'm thankful we encouraged our kids to earn money for school clothes. I'm at work on what to order for senior portraits. Senior year can be expensive.
