Back to Writing After a Few Brain-Dead Days

Feeling Brain Dead Makes it Difficult to Write

Tony Payne
After a few days of feeling tired and lifeless, plus a weekend of having too many things going on in my personal life, I now need to try and get some articles written before the end of the month, otherwise this is going to be another poor month for earnings.

I wasn't doing too badly last week, with one article on The Appalling State Of The Commonwealth Games Accommodation doing fairly well, however by Friday I began to feel lethargic and although I did manage to update my Offbeat News lens on Squidoo and create a new lens for my article series on News From A Weird World, I ran out of time to publish any new articles on Associated Content.

Friday night I felt lethargic too, and so didn't write anything new, and my statistics report for Friday reflected this, with only just over 400 page views, which is not good.

Saturday I still didn't feel good and was also trying to do work around the house, and the resulting 194 page views for the day was just horrible to see.

Sunday wasn't much better with still no new articles and 209 views.

By this time I was getting fairly depressed, however I did manage to make a few tweaks to several lenses on Squidoo, which may or may not make a difference to my earnings there.

Monday I took off work due to the events of the weekend, which I just published HERE, and so I hope to start seeing a bit more traffic coming in before the month draws to a close.

I really would like to be back in as a Top 500 author this month, but I think I already know that unless I get 10,000 views before month end that this isn't going to happen.

There are so many articles I have in my head to write about, but without time and the ability to focus on them, they fall by the wayside. I think time and other distractions are the worst enemy for most of us authors unfortunately.

Well back to my real writing and to see if I can pop another article into the sack for today.

The number of page views you need to make it into the Top 500 or even Top 100 depends on how many everyone else gets. AC pick the people who have the Top 500 views for the previous month.

Out of curiosity, how many views do you find it takes to hit Top 500?

I hope you feel better. I had a low weekend too. Just took a couple days off mostly. I tried to pop in and see what was going on. I hope you reach your goal. I'd like to reach clout 6 by the end of this month. Not sure if it will happen but one can hope ;)

Wow, I would be thrilled to get this many page views in a day!

know what you mean-Sunday worked the Buccaneers game in 95 degree temps and my brain and everything else was wasted by the time I reached home.

Aww good luck...I've sort of been taking a mental vacation. Haven't gotten much done in the past week or so....
