Backstreet Boys and New Kids in the Block were in St. Louis July 19, 2011 for the NKOTBSB tour. The concert was held at the Scottrade Center. Thankfully this is an indoor venue because the scorching hot weather plaguing St. Louis would have totally ruined the concert. After the concert, Nick Carter and Howie Dorough hosted an after party at Club 15 off of Locust Ave, downtown St. Louis.

Club 15 is a multi-level club with the first level housing the hostess stand and a small restaurant. The second level has the dance floor/bar on one side and a lounge/private party area on the other side. The interior design is very nice and clean with very nice wooden floors. The interior design is probably the only nice thing about the club because frankly Club 15 sucks.

Security at Club 15 is annoying and rude. Anytime partygoers tried to get away from the over packed dance floor and relax in the wide hallway, security quickly ushered them back into the club. The hallway area in between the dance bar area and the private party area is actually very spacious so standing in the hallway didn't appear to create a fire hazard. There was always plenty of space for people to get by. Not for sure why security was so anal about clearing the hallways. It definitely wasn't about keeping the private party area cleared because that area was only used for about thirty minutes. The rest of the time the area was empty and closed.

The "club" area of Club 15 was just way too small. It was impossible to maneuver anywhere. Dancing was next to impossible because the tiny dance floor was always crowded with girls waiting to catch glimpse of Nick Carter or Howie Dorough. The club did have a couple of bar tables but those were "reserved" for partygoers who bought $200 bottles of champagne. When on the dance floor, I was constantly shoved by security walking back and forth to the DJ booth. Not for sure why security paced back and forth so much but seriously did you have to shove me every time? I personally loved when you pulled my hair, nice touch. Every heard of tapping one's shoulder to let them know your there and need to get by? Trust me; it creates much better goodwill instead of just shoving your way through.

My absolute biggest complaint about Club 15 is that they charged $2.00 for a cup of water. Notice I said "cup of water." I'm not talking about bottled water; I am talking about a small plastic cup of water -- tap water. We bought bottled beer and several mixed drinks and asked for a cup of water for our designated driver. We were quite shocked when we were charged $2.00. And we weren't the only ones. I heard several partygoers complaining about the $2.00 charge on cups of water. I have no problem paying for bottled water but I do have a big problem paying for plastic cup of tap water, especially during a major heat wave. Did I forget to mention I paid $150 for the VIP package? And yet the club still charged $2.00 for a cup of water.

The VIP package included a two second meet and greet with Nick Carter and Howie Dorough, a signed cd, a signed photo, and a Backstreet Boys chapstick. Seriously, two seconds. I didn't even get to finish hugging Nick before the photographer was snapping at me to turn around so he could take a photo. It was the worst meet and greet I have ever attended. Nick and Howie didn't have a chance to say anything before security was ushering me away. They looked about as flabbergasted as I felt. As I was leaving, one of the managers handed me the Howie CD, the photo, and the chapstick. I was like no I want the Nick CD. He was like I have to rotate them. Ummm, whatever I paid $150, give me the freaking Nick CD. He did. Sometimes it pays to be a little witchy.

So in summary, Club 15 was way too small to handle all the ladies wanting to see Nick and Howie. Security was rude, the meet and greet was rushed, and apparently tap water is no longer free. But with the bad there is good. I still had a great time with my friends, met four new friends, and got to hug Nick and Howie. Now where did I put my $150 tube of chapstick?
