My first impression on this game was that it was a cheesy cartoonish game for kids. That opinion quickly was replaced with awe. This game is one of the most unique games on Facebook.

If you are a fan of the Warcraft franchise you will probably enjoy this game. You and your monsters must build a city, defenses, and harvesting machines to upgrade and defend your yard from invading monsters (both wild and your neighbors). Defenses include splash and sniper cannon towers. Buildings harvest Goo, Pebbles, Twigs, and putty to be used to upgrade, and build additional, buildings. "Shiny" is the purchasable currency that allows you to gain additional workers, faster build times, and other special items.

As the game progresses, and the upgraded buildings come on line, you will be allowed to buy monster lockers (to research additional monsters), Hatcheries (to hatch those monsters), and do battles against your neighbors (not just random wandering monsters). The general store is also a very useful building, which you must build to finish the tutorial, where you will buy additional workers and other useful items.

The battles are quick and painless, so far, using the towers to defend your town hall and harvesting buildings can be tricky. If the invading monsters make it to your buildings they will steal and pillage. But unlike some games, all you must do is repair them (which doesn't take resources only time). Your towers can also be upgraded to increase fire rate and range. You can also set blocks, wood and rock, to force invading forces into a channel away from important buildings and build "traps" along the path to help defeat the invaders.

Much like other games on Facebook, upgrading the area of your backyard becomes necessary as you advance and build. This can only be done buy "purchasing" the area with "shiny". So if you intend to play this game seriously be prepared to run out of space or purchase "shiny" to upgrade. While there are "missions" that give you "shiny" I have only found 2 myself and that barely got me 2 extra workers and 1 upgrade to my yard.

Overall this is an interesting game to supplement your Facebook gaming experience. I kind of like to play this one while playing Millionaire City. It helps to kill the time between harvests. If you are a big Warcraft fan then you will love this game too. If not this would be a great way to introduce yourself to this whole franchise and as in all games, kill time while doing absolutely nothing of real importance.
