Women have been, for thousands of years, pre programmed to search for men of noble strength. This may be due to the fact that in olden days, the men often times had to go into battle. The strong survived and were often times given considerable rank and riches within the kingdom he'd fought for. So, it was no wonder that bringing home such a warrior would be a mom and dad pleaser.
As the days and years have changed, many of the traits that women searched for are still very much alive within. However, there is a miscommunication or lack of education that is running astray. Nowadays, with the surge of action movies depicting an almost immortal like hero and the music industry portraying bad boys as men of valor, we have somehow managed to redefine the word 'strength.' In the old days, the women understood that heroic men were able to win battles only with the help of God. Wisdom gave birth to knowledge and understanding, so his strength was in his faith. ยด
Now our daughters and granddaughters are bringing home the 'walking dead.' Why the term 'walking dead?' Well, the wages of sin is death, right? If someone is operating in rebellious behavior, spiritually speaking, they are dead. Part of this is also because in this day and age, many-a-men choose to be an absentee parent and his children either grow up fatherless or under another man's direction. In many cases, TV portrays the world's depiction of what a man should be like and our daughters are biting it. We should always monitor what our children are watching or listening to. So many claim that actors and musicians do not raise our children, however, if you would simply look around, you would find those statements to be without foundation. It's evident in the clothing, the speech, the lifestyles and so on, that our children are being heavily influenced by media. The boys are taught that they would need to endanger themselves or others to get the best girls and women have come to believe that by coming together in holy matrimony with an outlaw is wise. In other words, many are being led away from their first love. Trust is not being put into our Father anymore, however, many are putting their faith into mortal man's strength and weaponry.
So, it is to say that a huge part of this breakdown of society's morals is due in fact to a lack of knowing just what a man is. Anatomically correct individuals with guns can proclaim manhood, and in relation to the flesh, they are men. However, they are the unrighteous. Without wisdom, they have not discerned the true direction to everlasting life, forsaking correction to follow the path of death. Ladies, there is a difference between a man and a man of God. A man can raise children, but a man of God can lead them to Christ. One can raise farm animals. All that requires is feeding them, watering them and herding them up whenever necessary. But leading a child to Christ is done by a wise man that knows the way. Your children are more than animals and should be fed accordingly. In Matthews 4:4, Christ revealed, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."
Bad boys give off an air of confidence. They appear strong, rebellious and focused. But, this is a deception of the eyes that fools the heart. Satan's attempt to misguide you is only successful when the Word of God is not present or being watered from within you. They appear strong, however, without faith, they are weak. How so? Christ has come that we may have everlasting life. Christ, in Matthew 10:8, instructed the children of God to, 'heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.' This is done by the laying of hands, however, ladies know that bad boys like to lay hands in improper ways...fornication and/or fighting. He is not delivering anyone because he needs to be delivered. Drunken with the foolishness that Satan has given them, they fight an invisible war against one another. Brother against brother, not knowing that if they'd numbered up against the real enemy, they could both claim victory. However, like animals in mating season, some use their bodies to pound one another for respect? Much like the alpha wolf in a pack asserting his position. We were never meant to act like wild animals. Their rebelliousness should be reason enough to flee, however to a woman of little or no understanding, this solidifies her belief that he is a man of strength. Rebellious implies that he does not listen to instruction, rather he creates his own path. Proverbs 9:9 states: "Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning." Also in Proverbs, which is a book of infinite wisdom, is a warning about drunkards. "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise." There goes that word again...not wise.....or unwise. So, the men that like the frequent the bar and takes pleasure in being intoxicated should not be on your matrimonial list.
Ladies, bad boy syndrome is surgically removed by the Word of God. The more that you allow God within you, the more foolishness will, like an infection, come out of you. Do not allow your eyes to deceive your heart. The bible has already established that violent men, drunkards, adulterous and flesh serving men are not wise. And men, when made into husbands become the head of the house. So, why would you want to put an unwise man as the head when he is wearing a blindfold?
Fathers and mothers, I know that it is heartbreaking to see your little girl with one of these characters, however, if I may share with you, there is still hope. If she is still living home, monitor what goes into her hearing and eyes. Dads, lead by example. It is a well known fact that women tend to ultimately settle down with men much like their dad. Do not spoil her! That is a setup for an abusive man to mislead her into thinking that his abuse is love. Disciplined children are happier and wiser!!! And, if your daughter is in a relationship with one of these characters, don't fret. Pray. Do not come against him with words and challenge him to a fist fight. "Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit." (Proverbs 26:5) So...dads, you are actually helping him when you challenge him. Like the prodigal son, your daughters will return to you if you continue to lift her up and lead by example. Invite her out with you to the movies and dinner often. Just father and daughter. Open the door for her, pull out her chair and listen to her. Just listen. A foolish man will trip himself and she will begin to realize that he is not what she wants. Be cordial to him. Who knows...maybe you will be an inspiration to him.
Bad boy syndrome is a display of lack of wisdom. Not just for the man, but for the woman. But, when we submerge our minds and hearts with the Word of God, we will find that with open eyes, we see with the Light of Christ which exposes the evil and filters it from the good.
