Bad Girl Gone Mom Book Introduction

True Life Story of K.C. Lauer: Raw, Rude and Revealing

Kay Balbi
In the memoir entitled Bad Girl Gone Mom, author K.C. Lauer reminisces about her youth, recalling experiences she faced due to her birth defects and subsequent depression. She shares intimate secrets and provides details that will make you blush. For an excerpt from the book, see Excerpt.

Why did K.C. Lauer write Bad Girl Gone Mom?

She says, "I wanted to help people, girls' and those born gender "not normal" particularly, realize they are not alone. Many of the things I discuss in this book are topics that are controversial and considered taboo. See Video Trailer:

I know I am putting a lot out there, and that is because I am tired of seeing kids and young adults kill themselves. While we are all equal, we are certainly not all alike. That doesn't make people better or worse than each other. It just makes them diverse.

What gives us the right to discriminate against one another?

I am saddened when I see adults popping pills and living their lives in shame and/or depression over traumatic events that happened sometimes decades ago. As a kid, I took chances, and I am lucky to be alive. Now that I am in a good place. I feel it is time for me to share with others and let them know that they too, can be the "Captain's of their Soul." (Invictus)
