Bad Girls of the Media

Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Nicole Richie. You can't turn on the TV or even your local news without hearing something new about them. Young female celebrities that are labeled 'Bad' in our society but we still can't keep our eyes off them. Very much like a car accident.

If people didn't care about them then why would tabloids sell so well? It's true that you shouldn't believe the stories that you read from them. The paparazzi and the tabloids like to use these celebrities over and over again to sell their fake stories. I can't imagine the hell that these women go through. The media are always giving us a bad impression towards these women.

Before Paris Hilton went to jail she was bashed by the host at the MTV movie awards and the audience was cheering. I'm not a Paris Hilton fan and I believed that she should serve her time like a normal person but I felt very sorry for her. I admire her for her composure throughout the entire show, if it were me I would either be bawling or completely lose it.

But these women aren't always complete angels. With all the money that they have it's very evident in the pictures that they still can't seem to buy any underwear. They go out partying, having car accidents, making sex videos and going to rehab. Some of them shouldn't have been in rehab because they were too young to be drinking in the first place. There isn't anything wrong with partying all night but it bother me that they don't let work get in the way. These women are suppose to be professionals. When you look like crap in the media, people stop being on your side.

You might wonder what is wrong with these parents. Most parents with celebrity children live off them instead of having their own jobs. So they don't mind what they do for attention because more exposure equals more money.

Weather these women like it of not they are models for our youth. Should we be worried? It depends. It's important that you talk to your children because you still have greater influence on them then any media form, if you're a good parent. But they are still heavily influences by outside sources. Have you notice girls that are about ten don't act ten. More and more young children seem to talk and act like adults and where they get that from could either mean a good or bad thing.

It's also arguable of how they portray women in society. We're getting less traditional, would have been a good thing but the trashiness isn't something to be proud of.

Hi Exene, i find it weird how these pop tarts get all the media attention meanwhile "good girls" like Raven Simone and Mandy Moore do not get any coverage for being "normal" LOL
