Bad Money

During the brilliant creation of capitalistic economics all the best qualities of striving where inculded in the developing philosophy. The barter system was ending, specie circular had a different look, transaction gained hold and the market place was borne.

The market place used to operate on the simple fulcrum of supply and demand. I remember standing on the edges of the commodity pits worrying about yields, droughts, floods and other physical things that would alter outputs. Now you have to follow huge waves of speculative monies from international hedge funds, computer generated postions and mathmetical suppositions. The market driving forces used to be careful observation, systematic awareness and a balanced approach to resources. Now we are driven by greed.

The terrible spectrum of money making money has been ginned up by idiot economisists, computer geeks and greedy bankers. We will be doomed to a certain future of bubble and burst unless greed is eliminated from the capitalist equation. The old models allowed for entrepreneurship, advancement and even domination. We will always produce Carnegies, Gates and Buffet's. and their monies return in generous legacies. Greedy bastard just piss it away.

In the past our government thought it best to quash monopolies, reign in robber barons and keep an eye on wild speculation. Our government also has a history of deregulation, insane tax credits and of bending to the corporate will.

Money rules was not the original intent of capitalism. It was just an efficient system of trade.

That we live with this greed driven unbalanced system is criminal. The Republicans protect it, the Democrats cower before it and the people suffer.

What we need to do is encourage the corporate rulers to rethink their philosophy. Next, hang them from lamp posts and piss on their shoes. Considering the damage done this does not seem to be a radical solution.
