Almond/Badam Halwa. It is a very popular recipe. Do you want taste this Indian Sweet? Who doesn't love Almonds and Badam Halwa?

Almond Halwa (Badam Halwa)

Ingredients

1) Almond 200 gr.

2) Ghee 175 ml.

3) Milk 250 ml.

4) Saffron 10 pieces

5) Sugar 200 gr.

6) Water 175 ml.

Method

1) Take almond. Soak it in a vessel for eight hours. The nut should become tender and just press with your finger and the nut will get squeezed out of skin.

2) Add the almonds and milk in a mixer and grind it into a thick, smooth paste.

3) Take a saucepan. Lit the stove. Pour water. Boil it in sim fire. Add sugar. Make it boil. Dissolve saffron in warm water and add the content to the sugar syrup. Keep stirring for two minutes.

4) Add badam cum milk paste.

5) Add ghee in small quantities. Keep stirring. Then add some more ghee. Keep stirring till the ingredients gets wrinkle formation. Watch carefully.

6) Reduce heat and allow it to cool. Remove the saucepan from stove. Pour the halwa in a tray. Add blanched and sliced almond.

7) With a knife make one inch by one and half inch slices.
