Bai Ling's Bad Day Causes Her to Shoplift?

Is a Bad Break Up a Excuse for Bad Behavior

Bai Ling, a 40-year-old actress from Lost, Entourage, The Crow, and Playboy cover model, has been arrested for allegedly shoplifting at Los Angeles International Airport. According to Boston Herald, Bai Ling was accused of stealing two star magazines and a pack of triple A batteries. One of the strange things is that between getting arrested she found time to write in her blog about her flight being delayed. Supposedly she blames her actions on being depressed and emotional because it was Valentine's Day and she has recently broke up with her boyfriend. I don't think breaking up with somebody is an excuse for shoplifting. Bai Ling has been accused of being a attention-monger before so maybe this is just another case of celebrity craziness.

When you break up with someone and are distraught you can have all kinds of crazy reactions. Everyone responds differently. Some people will do little things such as driving by their ex's house repeatedly, all the way to the person who must not have been stable to begin with that go on a shooting spree because of the break up. The little things such as minor stalking, and spreading rumors is usually contained to teenage girls. Breakups can be emotional times and some unusual behavior is expected. But when your behavior becomes illegal you probably need to see a therapist or someone that can help you deal with the emotions of the breakup.

I have been known to do some crazy things after breaking up with a boyfriend. I think every girl has done some crazy things. I have done things like calling and hanging up on ex's to what my friends and I would call "drive by's" where we would drive by our ex's house, hoping to catch a glimpse of him or something. I don't know what I was thinking. Maybe I was hoping that my ex would know that the person on the other end of the phone not talking was me and he would want to get back together. Or Maybe I thought he would see me driving by his house and stalking him and realize that he couldn't live with out me. Neither of these things ever happened or seem very likely. Fortunately for me and for the guys I dated, I realized these things were crazy after I grew out of my early teen years. Anyone can be expected to be depressed after a breakup, but when it goes to far you need to rethink your behavior.
