Here is a list of ingredients needed for a 9" x 13" pan (greased). I cut the recipe in half and put it in an 8" x 8" pan.
1 cup oil
1 ½ cups sugar (or to your taste)
4 eggs
6 cups oats
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups milk
Combine all of the ingredients in the order that they are listed. Bake this at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes until lightly browned. This can be mixed up the evening before you are going to bake it. Serve this dish topped with butter, brown sugar, or milk. The pan will make 12-15 slices. It depends on the size that you cut your slices.
The truly wonderful thing about this dish is not only is it frugal, but one pan will last for a number of meals. I have not frozen this yet, it tends to be eaten before I can freeze it.

Post a CommentTHis sounds really good I can tolerate oatmeal but this sounds much better. I bet it would freeze well which would make it last longer and be a truly versatile breakfast for on the go.
I am with you.. I am not a big fan of oatmeal, but even I migt be able to handle this! I will have to try this one out with the kids! Fiber is very very good for my boys! LOL!
