Do you like baking? Do you like cooking? Do you like finding amazing recipes for your wife or for your mom to cook for you? The internet now has another valuable resource for finding awesome recipes and getting to know the people who create those recipes. Say hello to BakeSpace.com! BakeSpace.com joins MySpace and FaceBook as one of the internet's social networking services, but this by far must be the tastiest network!

Coming out of the oven and being launched in August of 2006, BakeSpace.com, according to techcrunch.com, "aims to provide a virtual kitchen online, a place where people gather to 'cook, talk and hang out'." Since the launch, they have grown to over 10,000 users and they currently have over 11,000 recipes listed on their website. All of the recipes are separated into 30 categories ranging from Candy to Pizza, Sauces & Salsas to Vegetarian, Celebrity Recipes and even Woof/Meow Treats! From kids favorites and even canine favorites, you can find it all on BakeSpace.com.

Currently, for the month of July 2007, they have partnered with KitchenAid, makers of a myriad of kitchen appliances. This partnership was created to give away one appliance every single day during the month of July. This cross-brand promotion will really help to attract many people who sign-up for a site that involves baking to become aware of the various products that KitchenAid has to offer, as well as creating an incentive for people who are maybe even mildly interested in cooking and baking to join BakeSpace.com in order to win a mixer or some other product that is being given away. The prizes that are being given away are as follows: A hand-held blender, a food processor, a 5-speed blender with a polycarbonate pitcher, a 7-speed hand mixer, a 7 quart slow cooker or crock pot, and the grand prize is a professional mixer!

At BakeSpace.com you get points for both submitting recipes and for referring friends to the service. This network is a place for fans of Rachel Ray and Martha Stewart to interact and enjoy each other's company. According to techcrunch.com, "BakeSpace.com allows users [to] browse, share and swap recipes, stage their own live cooking demonstrations and seminars, upload food photos & videos and be inspired by others who share a passion for food, cooking and baking."

If this doesn't get your taste buds going, then you can stick with Facebook and MySpace!
