Balancing Child Care with Working from the Home

Priscilla - Young Texas Mommy of 3
I envy the women (sometimes) whose children are in school and they get to go to a place where adult conversation happens on a regular basis. As a young mommy of three, it's just not feasible for me to take a full time, out of the home position. For the area where we live, the child care fee's would just be to extreme.

So for a year and a half, I've searched high and low for a legitimate work from home position that didn't include a start up fee, or selling something. No pleasure parties for me, thank you.

Finally I was hired by as a customer service representative for a large company and will hopefully be through training soon. As a part time employee, I will be expected to work twenty hours a week. I'm not entirely sure (although I am very confidant) how exactly I'm going to work that out. I'm currently hard pressed to fit in ten hours a week just for the training. Of course, I'm also attending school part time, so that's also becoming a strain.

I try to get most of it done during my down times, when the kids are asleep. That provides me with about an hour in the morning, an hour and a half at night, and about two hours during the day. If I'm lucky. I'm going to have to become one of those super scheduler mama's with to do lists spilling out of every pocket, and frankly I can't wait.

It will definitely be nice to be a monetary contributor to our household, rather than only getting credit for being a glorified nanny!
