Balancing Estrogen Naturally

T.C. Hana
Hormonal imbalance is not a thing of the past and needs dire attention from the school of medicine. Women everywhere are struggling with feeling out of balance and are asking for help but oftentimes they get shut down by their doctors. They get either get a prescription for birth control when they have bad periods or they are referred to a psychiatrist for depression because of mood swings. So, what happens when these medicines don't work?

Signs of Too Much Estrogen

There are several signs that women can identify when estrogen is high. The problem areas for fat are hips and thighs, and when these won't go away you know something is up. A low fat diet and exercise are always going to help, but when these two areas don't get better look out. Severe PMS is another symptom, and some women feel so depressed when they have PMS that they feel insane. This is a sure sign of high estrogen. The body will go from one extreme to the other, taking the emotions with it. This can be dangerous and you should contact your doctor immediately.

Sore breasts and water retention also are signs of high estrogen. Women get sore breasts when they are pregnant, but chances are if you are not trying to get pregnant that you have high estrogen. Retaining water doesn't help, and feeling bloated can really make you miserable along with constipation. All of this on top of feeling fuzzy or confused is enough to really drive you over the edge; so what next?

Diet Should Be First

Diet is always overlooked in America, and should be the first thing that we examine. Even if you don't drink coffee, everyone knows that coffee has caffeine and that people use it as a pick me up all the time. That is evidence that whatever you put into your body will affect you. So, with as much evidence as we have from one cup of coffee, wouldn't that make you want to find out more about what good foods could do for your health, energy levels and most of all your hormones?

Some women may choose to stop eating meat temporarily to really quiet their hormones down. There are tons of antibiotics being injected into our meat, and when you eat that meat, the toxins and chemicals are absorbed into the body. Free range meats are available in health food stores, and even if you believe that the cost is too high, consider how high your medical bills are right now! What do you have to lose? I can look at my personal stack of medical bills and tell you what the estrogen overload has done to me. My medical bills currently equal more than $30,000. Now that I have been eating organic and free range meat guess how many times I have been to the doctor? Zero. That's right, and I have been eating free range for two years, and slowly paying my bills down. When I first started, my bills were nearly $45,000 in medical, and if you have to take on extra work to pay a bill like this, it will only wear you down and takes your energy out from under you. When you are a victim to high estrogen, you don't have enough energy to work two jobs do you? I know I didn't, and as my energy increased, I found I was able to work for myself.

Take control of your life, and research for yourself what eating naturally can do for you, along with eliminating sugars, refined carbohydrates and other items from your diet. Don't try to do too much at once, but take baby steps. Overwhelmed is the last feeling you want when you already feel out of balance.
