Ballbustered: Hanging from a Board and Hating It

Heather Dekin
Body tried to a stiff splinter filled wooden board
Tortured with white feathers and slaps on each cheek
Unusual and annoyingly cruel punishment for someone
That has done nothing wrong, except get out of bed
Judged by the jury and executioner
rolled into one sickeningly sadistic package
Now that the trial has sped by to the finish line
Time to take the punishment once again
Boards, feathers, slaps, and unkind probing questions
Brain drilled into grueling mush
Being nagged profusely for lack of intellectual foresight
Interrogated like a murder suspect after a serial killing spree
Hannibal Lecter in a bright fire engine red Versace dress
Physically demeaned for being a white washed canvas
Of plain Jane dullness
Time to pick up my personal tennis balls and a racket
And start hitting back at a system that keeps screwing around
With my fragile ego and flexible thoughts bending to distraction
Time to play a game with the in-amorous world
And hopefully win this game, just one would be nice.
