Ballet Flats Are the New High Heels
Fashion Finally Becomes Comfortable
However, there are stores making them easier and easier to find.
In fact, I was extremely fortunate to find pairs of these shoes before they became popular. It was then that I realized that I had been wearing that type of shoe ever since I was young.
Ballet flats had simply gone without a name for me. They were always one of my favorite styles. It's just that I could only call them "slip ons" being that they were not given an official style name. The only thing I knew was that I liked "those Sam & Libby shoes."
As I got older, it got harder to find that style of shoe. I also realized that the style of shoe did not exist for young girls.
Thus, I headed to payless shoes to see what I could find. I wanted flat shoes that also had a good tennis shoe like bottom. I easily found my answer within my first visit. I found some ballet flats by Predictions that seemed like tennis shoes, but were definitely flat and did not try to build in any extra support for feet. It was exactly what I wanted. They were only $7 as they were on sale!
I went back later and I bought another pair in a different color. This time they were $17 which is still much cheaper than other shoes similar to them.
Other people were not wearing those shoes and I got so many compliments on them whenever I wore them. Unfortunately, it seems as if Payless no longer sells these shoes.
Ballet flats are extremely popular. They come decorated like tennis shoes or even in fancier styles so they would serve as comfortable dress shoes.
For a long time, ballet flats could not be found for under $25. Now, they can easily be found in the shoe section at Wal-Mart. "Those Sam & Libby shoes" are back! They are really comfortable, too. Some people swear by the comfort of Crocs.
I do not find the comfortable. They are definitely ugly. Ballet flats offer comfort and style. This is a style that should stay around for years even if it does not. It is certainly more flattering than huge platform shoes. They are more supportive than high heels and look just as stylish, too.

I love ballet flats also, and I feel they should never go out of style. When you want to wear a skirt, but just don't feel up to wearing heels, especially for shopping, they are a great alternative! Good article!
I had to spray paint a pair of my old practice shoes to get a gold color for a costume once. Now, it seems you can buy them cheap...and I wouldn't have had to ruin my last momento of my youth.
i have SO many pairs of these. and they're more versatile for packing since they're small and thin and weigh very little. www.cutseyshoes.com has a TON of super cheap shoes. I have three pairs of ballet flats from there. : )
OMG I have a millon pairs of those or so its seems. They are really comfratable and just great. Their also dressy to! Gotta love em
