Ballet offers many benefits-coordination, muscle strengthening, as well as developing good posture. It also provides a great workout to someone looking for an alternative way to stay in shape. In the San Fernando Valley, there are many dance studios to choose from.

Let's take a look at a few.

The Los Angeles Ballet Academy's Artistic Director, Andrea Paris established her program in 1992. The teachers at the academy are geared towards the standard methodology of classical ballet, focusing on strength building, flexibility and creativity.

They have programs for boys and girls of all ages. Their programs are designed by age and grade levels to promote healthy, age appropriate instruction. They even have a preschool program tailored for children from 3 to 6 years old that offers a fun and creative environment to hold their interest and keep them focused on participation.

Registration is required and an annual registration fee of $30.00 per family is required. Their programs vary from 1 to 10 or more classes a week, offering a 7 or 14 week session. Certain discounts apply.

The Los Angeles is located at 18138 Sherman Way in Reseda, CA.
