Whether you are preparing for a wedding reception or simply wanting to add a social activity to your life, there are plenty of resources for learning ballroom dance in Chico.

Chico Area Recreation District (CARD) offers an Introduction to Ballroom Dancing class at the Pleasant Valley Recreation Center (2320 North Avenue). Instructor, Joe Garrow, focuses on the basics of Ballroom Dance, including basic steps to the Fox Trot, Waltz, West Coast Swing, Tango, Cha-Cha and Rumba. California State University, Chico Ballroom Dance Club (BDC) offers low cost dance lessons and Ballroom Dance Club Dances. BDC dance lessons are only $3 and dances are $2. If attending both the lesson and the dance, you only pay $4. In addition, each dance has a fun theme for the evening and if you are dressed appropriately, you receive an additional $1 off. All BDC members attend dances and lessons for free. CSU, Chico also offers free beginner lessons for several ballroom dances.
