Bamboo Disposable Dog and Cat Feeding Bowls

Goth Diva
I recently came across the Bamboo Pet plastic feeding bowels and plastic disposable liners at Petsmart and I was instantly intrigued. No more stinky canned cat food dishes to wash everyday? The 12 oz plastic bowl for cats was about $4 and comes with 2 disposable plastic liners, additional liners cost about $3 for a pack of 12. I chose the Pink bowl with a fish design, but you could also choose from Blue or Light Green. They make bowls and disposable liners for cats that are 12oz and for dogs in 12oz or 30oz sizes. You can also buy a feeder set that has two bows for food and water.

I feed my cat canned food every morning, and she grazes on dry food at her choice. So every morning there is a stinky, crusty, smelly cat food dish to wash. If i don't have time in the morning to wash the dish the second she's done, it smells the entire kitchen up for the whole day. I don't like feeding the cat on the same dishes I eat from but I never wanted to buy her a separate set of dishes of her own either. The Bamboo dish is an ingenious solution. Each morning I grab out a fresh liner from the package and pop it into the dish. The inner part of the plastic dish has a lip on it where the edge of the liner fits. It's very secure, but easy to pop in and out. The dish isn't too deep, so even a little cat like mine can easily reach the food. On my way out the door in the morning I pop the liner out of the dish and take it out to the dumpster. Then I come home to a kitchen that doesn't smell like cat food and no cat food dish to wash. It's brilliant!

The liners make great travel dishes when you're on the go. You can pop a couple liners in your bag if you're taking your pet to the park or somewhere else and you can give them water or a snack in a clean, odor free dish that you can just toss away when they're done. Plastic doesn't absorb odor and easy to clean, so you can wash and re-use the liners if you don't want to use a new one every day. A pack of liners costs is fairly inexpensive, and if you re-use them you can keep costs down easily.

The Bamboo disposable feeding bowl system won several awards in 2007 from the American Pet Products Manufacturers Association (APPMA). The bottom line is that these dishes are convenient, sanitary, inexpensive, and a great alternative for pet feeding. I wouldn't use anything else after having tried them.

  • Bamboo plastic dishes and disposable liners are affordable.
  • Plastic is more sanitary for your pet because it doesn't absorb odors.
  • These disposable dishes are great for travel.
