There is actually more of a difference in Banana Boat sunblock products than simply the measure of SPF and the method of delivery of skin protection. Levels of SPF vary from four to 70, and the lotion can be applied with a spray or with the hands or in some cases a roll-on or stick applicator. Banana Boat offers protection in a spray formula, a sport formula, a children's formula and formulation for everyday use.
I have chosen to contrast the difference between the Banana Boat spray-on sunblock and the traditional lotion applied with the hands to the skin. Both products offer three way protections to the skin with avotriplex, and both are the familiar brand, but they differ in some aspects. Read on to find out more.
The brand that I am most familiar with and use each time I am going to be exposed to the sun is the ultra mist by Banana Boat. It comes in an attractive silver container that allows even distribution across the skin by spraying where you need protection. It comes with an SPF level of fifty which is perfect for those hot days where the sun is just getting stronger and stronger. It is really easy to apply, and barely any pressure has to be applied to the toggle to spray the sunscreen. Not only does it offer sun protection but it comes with additives such as aloe vera and vitamin A and E to ensure supple and smooth skin as well as sun protection. I like it because it gets to those hard to reach places like in between the shoulder blades, or under the arms and behind the knees with ease. It allows me to coat myself with sun protection without having anyone to help me reach those hard to reach areas. The large nine ounce bottle ranges in price from ten to twelve dollars and is widely available.
Ultra defense also comes in a lotion form with an SPF level of fifteen, thirty, and fifty and up to SPF eighty; this retails for nine to twenty dollars a bottle for the eight ounce tube of sun protection lotion depending on the level of SPF desired. I like that this lotion comes up to the SPF level of eighty, it is perfect for those days after you have gotten too much sun, or great for fair skinned children, seniors and adults or those with sun sensitivities. I like how the lotion applies, it is not as greasy as many lotions on the market and feels good on the skin. This is one of the best lotions that I have used, and have both in my beach bag regularly for those times when I need a little more extra protection.
