Baking time: 1 hour
Makes one loaf
Ingredients:
1 ¾-cup flour
¾-teaspoon baking soda
1 ¼-teaspoon cream tartar
½-teaspoon salt
1/3-cup shortening
2/3-cup sugar
2 egg whites
Approximately three large bananas
Step 1: Preheat oven at 350 degrees.
Step 2: Mash the bananas so that you will have 1 cup of mashed banana.
Step 3: Separate the egg whites from the yolk and place them in a small bowl. Then beat the egg whites.
Step 4: Put the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, salt, shortening, sugar, beaten egg whites, and the mashed bananas into a large bowl and mix very well.
Step 5: Grease the bread pan. Pour in the dough into the bread pan and level off.
Step 6: Bake for 1 hour or until you can poke in a toothpick in the center and it comes out clean.
Step 7: Enjoy!
