Band-Aid Hurt-Free Antiseptic First Aid Wash: Product Review

It's never fun to get a cut, scrape, or skin abrasion, but unfortunately those things are just a fact of life. One of the worst things about getting a "boo boo" is having to clean it out before covering it with a bandage. Plain water won't do anything to kill the germs which may have gotten into the cut or scrape, and cleaning agents like soap, hydrogen peroxide, Bactine, and rubbing alcohol can really hurt and sting when you use them. Recently, I cut my big toe up pretty bad when I tripped on my flip-flop outside, and I knew that the wound was tender enough that there was no way I could clean it with soap or alcohol. Since my injury happened outside, I knew it needed to be cleaned well to remove any dirt or bacteria, so I decided to head to my local Rite Aid store to see if I could find something that could clean up my cut without causing me more pain.

At the drug store, I came across a product called Band-Aid Hurt-Free Antiseptic First Aid Wash. Band-Aid is a brand that I trust, and the First Aid Wash promised to kill the germs in a wound without and burning or stinging. I was a bit skeptical of these claims, but since the Antiseptic Wash was made by Band-Aid, I decided to give it a try. The product was reasonably priced at $4.59 for a decent-sized bottle, so I bought it and headed home to care for my injured toe.

After rinsing out the cut on my toe with plain water to remove any large pieces of debris, I opened up the Band-Aid Hurt-Free Antiseptic First Aid Wash. The bottle has a very small hole on the top to dispense the wash, and I found that when I squirted the wash out of the bottle, the small opening enabled me to very accurately aim where it was going. When the Band-Aid Wash hit my cut, I was quite surprised. As promised, the product didn't sting or burn at all and was actually "hurt-free." Also, I found that it provided a cool, comfortable sensation that actually seemed to reduce the pain from my cut. I was very pleased. After using the Band-Aid Hurt-Free Antiseptic First Aid Wash, I bandaged up my toe, and in a few days it was completely healed up with no signs of infection or anything like that.

I think that the Band-Aid Hurt-Free Antiseptic First Aid Wash is a product that everyone should keep on hand, especially the parents of young children. You never know when you will get a cut or a scrape that requires cleaning, but when you do you will be happy to have this soothing and effective product in your medicine cabinet. The Band-Aid First Aid Wash is available at pharmacies, grocery stores, and mass-market retailers nationwide.
