Bang My Tambourine

Poem

Kady Birdwhistle
I tiger prance through my house
looking for my tambourine
my favorite shoes are so worn
you can see OVULAR toe prints
sweaty glands have made
I mark my territory with Emeraude
Cologne of my mother
Au de toiletta
my eyelashes flash past you
I need to bang my tambourine
A desire to eat tulips come
Right on over me to digest
Everything pure and beautiful
And you can pluck pluck pluck
the stem from my MOUTH
you'll see feetrpints in apartment sand
I will always forget the shoes I don't like
Going going baby barefoot I
always forget the forget me not shoe SIGN
you drew in wobbly crayon that says

"WEAR ME"

In the plaster cracking doorway I sit and sweat the 70 degree heat today
I need to bang my tambourine
