Bangkok Dangerous

Another powerhouse performance by one of Hollywood's leading men, Nicolas Cage. He plays a professional hitman who gets hired by bad guys to assassinate bad guys. It's almost beyond reason that anyone could be sympathetic and root for a paid killer, but Cage makes you think that way. His character portrayal is strong and even though he's a nasty man, you hope he gets the girl, retires, and lives happily every after on some remote island.

The story has Joe (Nicolas Cage) deciding to retire after taking one last assignment that will stuff his bank account. He's hired by a notorious Bangkok gangster to murder four people that are interfering with his illegal activities. Joe usual plan of operation is to enlist a young accomplice to do his errands for him. After the job is done, the errand boy is killed so there's no trail back to bad guy Joe. He's cold blooded, but this time his young protégé, Kong, is befriended. To make his life even more complicated, Cage takes a romantic interest in a local girl. Having broken his sacred rules, Joe shows an emotional softness that begins to affect his ability to do the tasks he's been hired for.

With Shahkrit Yamnarm playing a supporting role as Kong, the movie takes us on a great action filled journey with Nicolas Cage being the superlative guide.
