Bangkok, Thailand Tourist Travel Guide

Lodging, Restaurants, Shopping and More

Heather Carreiro
My trip to Bangkok in January 2009 went very smoothly thanks to the help of AC and AC content producers who'd written on Bangkok. Instead of buying a Lonely Planet guide, which I usually swear by while traveling, I just printed out some articles from AC, grabbed some free maps at the nearest Skytrain station and I was ready to go. I was even able to meet up with AC Concent Producer Fabletoo who helped me navigate Chatachuk Market, gave me shopping tips, and taught me a ton about Thai culture. Here's a collection of some of the links I found really helpful, as well as articles I wrote during my two weeks of travel in Bangkok. This list will be updated periodically with more links and helpful hints!

Wow Heather, thank you SO much for including so many of my articles. I'm truly honored and, of course, LOVED meeting up with you when you were in Bangkok. I'll respond to your message ASAP, but just popping into AC really fast before going to bed. :-) Again, thanks so much - truly truly appreciated!
