"Bar Rescue" on Spike - Meet Jon and Nicole Taffer

The Persons Behind "Bar Rescue"

Diane Zoller-Ciatto
"Bar Rescue" is the acclaimed program where Jon Taffer and his wife Nicole respond to the request by the owner/s of a bar that is failing. Fans see the transformation of a once thriving bar to the last place they want to go to have a few drinks and some fun.

So just who are Jon and Nicole Taffer? The stars of "Bar Rescue" are married and both successful in their own right. Nicole is the reconnaissance person who goes to a bar just like a customer and evaluates the cleanliness, service, atmosphere, layout, as well as the food and drink. A beautiful woman, she can certainly attract the hound dog types who are looking for a beautiful woman, but she can handle herself well in that atmosphere.

When Nicole comes from the bar with her report, Jon goes in and lets the owner know who he is and then lowers the boom with the sometimes hard to take truth. It is astounding how bar owners can recognize that they have a problem, but when faced with the truth, many refuse to listen. Jon is the voice of reason, he recognizes employees who do not do their job, bartenders who over pour the drinks they make, cooks who do a terrible job and keep a dirty kitchen and managers who do everything but manage.

Jon has been a restaurateur for a lifetime with over 30 years of experience in owning and creating concepts for bars and restaurants. He is a world renowned advisor to restaurants, bars and nightclubs and in 2010 he was appointed by Questex Media Group LLC the president of its Nightclub & Bar Media Group, which includes the Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show, Nightclub & Bar magazine and related digital media products.

Nicole a former project manager for condominiums in Chicago, her home town, then became the owner of an advertising firm. She married Jon in 2000 and joined him in his firm called Taffer Dynamics, Inc. a consulting firm to nightclubs, restaurants and hotels around the world.

Clear evaluation needed. Two heads better than one and when it is husband and wife, what else do you need? Should be interesting show for sure. Thanks, Nana for this lovely write-up - siva
