Barack Obama is Bad for America

Rex Banner
Barack Obama is nothing more than an extremist from the left. He is offering nothing of substance, and is only telling a few what they want to hear. He has no shot of winning a general election. Just as George Bush has pandered to the wealthiest among us, Obama is pandering to the poorest among us. In the end, this pandering is going to cost the middle a lot of tax dollars, and more importantly, a lot of freedoms.

Obama and his wife have done well in this country, and yet the two of them speak as if the U.S.A. is a bad place to live; a place of no opportunity. While this is spewing out of one side of their mouths, talk of them being American success stories spews out of the other. He made over $4 million this past year, and win or lose, will make much more in public speaking fees after the election. They are hypocrites to be sure.

As for Senator Obama's recent comment regarding bitterness, religion, and guns, this is a statement that should raise red flags in all of our minds. In one sentence, he has undermined the American majority. People don't "cling to guns and religion." People enjoy their religions, regardless of the size of cities they live in. As for guns, the Second Amendment guarantees us the right to own guns. This is another point of contention with Obama. Why is it that he always speaks of gun owners as hunters and sportsmen? The Constitution says nothing about hunting or sport shooting. Does he plan to ban our right to own guns for other purposes; primarily the right to protect ourselves from a tyrannical government as intended by the framers? He's tried to talk his way out of this one, but don't buy his silver tongued b.s.! He was pandering to the America haters among us, and meant every word he said.

He has no respect for religion or America. According to Obama himself, the only reason he started going to church was to improve his credibility within the church community. A reverend once told him that it was hard for people to go along with his calls for organization when Obama didn't even attend church. After this, he began attending church. Why is the left not jumping on Obama for even attending church and proclaiming that he is a Christian? Isn't this a big reason they hate Bush and the right? Obama is a member of an over-zealous church; one more evangelical than the religious right! Despite this fact, not one mocking comment is made about Obama's faith. Where are the 'moveon.org' groups? Shouldn't they be chastising him for his silly beliefs? By the way, he won't get us out of Iraq. Listen carefully when he talks about his plan for withdrawal. He always says that combat troops will be removed. I don't think he'll even commit to this promise; too much progress is being made, and Iran is a growing threat.

Ultimately, Obama represents the hypocrisy of the left, and will take the U.S. down the wrong road.

For those who think I am putting words in Obama's mouth about why he started "attending church," here is his explanation: http://youtube.com/watch?v=BuCmoZil4W4 "I had worked as an organizer on the South Side...I was bringing churches together...as I'm doing this organizing, some of the pastors said...if you're going to organize churches, it might help if you were going to church. I thought well that's not an unreasonable position, so I started visiting some churches."
