Barack Obama Beats Up on Sarah Palin: Attacks Her as "Not Much of an Expert" on Nuclear Issues

Marc Schenker
In an interview with former Bill Clinton lackey George Stephanopoulos to be aired on Good Morning America today, Barack Obama beats up on Sarah Palin by dismissing the value of her opinion on nuclear issues. Asserted Obama to Stephanopoulos in the ABC interview, "...last I checked, Sarah Palin's not much of an expert on nuclear issues!" That Obama derision towards Palin was in response-clearly because Obama's thin-skinned and as hyper-sensitive as ever-to Palin's right-on-the-mark comments on Hannity's show on the Fox News channel earlier in the week, where she compared Obama's sissy policy of reducing the US' nuclear arsenal to a kid on a playground declaring that he won't fight back, even if he gets punched in the face. Obama's haughty dismissal of Palin is ironic at the very least since many people-not only conservatives-would credibly argue that Obama himself is no expert on many issues, as seen by his abysmal failure to contain Iran's nuclear buildup or turn around the economic situation at home, just to name a couple.

Obama's ill-disciplined and very unpresidential attack on Palin is nothing new from the very thin-skinned and hyper-sensitive president. His latest outburst certainly brings to mind the very recent and equally unpresidential embarrassment last fall when his administration started to-in an unprecedented departure from all prior presidential norms-begin a full-scale, verbal assault against the Fox News Channel of all places, all because little, wittle Mr. President didn't like their tremendously fair and balanced coverage of him (I suppose he wanted their coverage to be more worshipping, say, like MSNBS...excuse me...MSNBC).

Look for Palin's very innocent and oh-so-true comment about Obama's policy at the 1:10 mark:

The war of words between Obama and Palin comes against the backdrop of Obama's new, radical policy of reducing US nuclear arsenals when threats to world peace like Iran are actively and aggressively moving ahead-while Obama looks on seemingly helplessly-towards a full-blown, operational nuclear program. Curiously, or maybe I'm looking for the word "absurdly," the Obama Administration is actually claiming that reducing the US nuclear arsenal from 2200 to 1550 warheads over seven years will somehow put "pressure" on Iran and its saber-rattling mullahs to stop its pursuit of nuclear weapons! The hardened hallucinations occurring within the Obama Administration are simply mind-blowing as their logic makes no sense at all-unless, of course, you're an appeaser, which is what the administration is, so I guess that makes sense after all...kind of.

The Obama "strategy"-if you can call it that-of publicly denouncing his perceived enemies such as Palin is actually a really short-sighted move, because he's elevating someone not on the same level as the president to all of a sudden be his peer, against whom all criticism must purportedly be answered and then discredited. This is also not the first time Obama has foolishly targeted private citizens (Palin is no longer in office and now is merely a commentator and analyst); as some will recall, he went after Rush Limbaugh last year for merely the same thing of stating strong opinions that were critical of the president. In doing so, Mr. Hyper-Sensitive Barack Obama must be borrowing a page directly from the radical Saul Alinsky's playbook, the ever-reassuring Rules for Radicals, which calls for ridiculing enemies in order to tear down their credibility. With Palin, whom Obama clearly sees as a threat, demeaning her as "not much of an expert" is inarguably designed to ridicule her.

As for Obama's poor choice of reducing US nukes while Iran merrily goes on their way to building themselves a nuclear program, ratification in the US Senate doesn't look promising at this time. Since the humiliating loss of their very short-lived super-majority, Democrats only command 59 seats, and they need to bring on board eight Republicans for a total of 67 to achieve the number needed in the US Senate in order to ratify Obama's nuclear disarmament treaty. Again, ironically, at a time when the Obama Administration selfishly and arrogantly bullied their Obamacare bill through without any bi-partisan support at all, they now find themselves groveling and desperately needing GOP support for ratification of this bill. As White House propagandist (as Hannity likes to call him) Robert Gibbs said, "We are hopeful that reducing the threat of nuclear weapons remains a priority for both parties," according to an ABC News report.

I agree with Anthony! Great article! I like Sarah Palin!

If Obama thinks he knows more than Sarah Palin about nuclear weapons, he should do something about Iran instead of "reaching out" with diplomacy that already didn't work after 2 years. When people see Obama's afraid to say anything that would offend the mullah, A-jad takes time to send his thugs into the street to kill people like that Naida in the street demonstrations against the Iranian election cheat. Obama's "knowledge of nuclear power" merely gives whack-job Ahmadinajad time to develop a missile on a warhead. A-jad makes Hitler look like a model of mental health. Begging a bully not to beat you up is not going to avoid your getting a *ss-whippin'. At least Sarah Palin knows that much...

*shaking my head* Pointing out the obvious is not beating up on someone. You definitely exaggerated that. She's NOT an expert on nuclear weapons so him saying it is like me saying it. And as far as who knows more, he surely had one helluva better background than her.

oh and I threw up a little in my mouth on this point: "wittle Mr. President didn't like their tremendously fair and balanced coverage of him" fair and balanced my left foot

Marc this article is a stretch at best. Criticizing Obama for what he said would be like me criticizing you for telling a McDonalds worker that he’s not knowledgeable about rocket science. Palin is nothing more than a tool, even she knows that, why do you think she gave up her previous job to chase the money. Like most republicans and UBER conservatives the all mighty dollar reigns supreme in her eyes. The only forum I’d lend credence to anything Palin said would be some “how to get your daughter pregnant” convention other than that she’s as useless as...well hell I can’t think of anything as useless as her. Way to push the bar up Sarah.

I wish someone would talk about Palin's slutty appearance. She costs the GOP the election. Why would any aspiring female politician wear a low cut leather jacket to a news conference? This woman just doesn't get it. She has to decide whether she wants to be President of the US or a Hugh Heftner slut. People want their female politicians to look presentable, like Hilary Clinton or Condoleeza Rice. These women have dignity and get respect, regardless of whether you agree with their politics. I hope Condoleeza Rice runs for president in 2012, not Palin. She is a loser and will cost the GOP another election.

A lot of people still agree with Sarah on lots of issues no matter what he says. Little does he know, he helps Palin by bringing any kind of attention to her.

When are we as Americans, going to wake up. Don't you realize that you are being had? Left wing, Right wing, Conservative, Liberal...It is all a bunch of sh't. They want us divided and arguing with each other. It is the wealthy bankers and corporate goons in control. Period. Wake up.
