President Obama's universal healthcare plan is BIPARTISAN. It allows insurance companies (which Republicans love) to keep running, but adds along another option -- which experts speculate will be pursued by less than 5% of all Americans. Included also are a myriad of regulations meant to enforce culpability from those insurance companies who refuse to honor their commitments. In fact, his new plan will outlaw pre-existing conditions, annual caps on coverage, and an insurance company's undeserved right to terminate a plan if the consumer becomes sick.
Despite slight heckling from a nut in the audience, most members of Congress cheered in glee at President Obama's brilliant plan. His speech, however, was rebutted by Doctor-Surgeon, U.S. Rep. Charles Boustany. The speech was mainly full of crock, as he ignored Obama's declaration that the universal healthcare plan proposed will allow for CHOICE. He instead continued with the irrelevant and preposterously misinformed arguments being touted by most Repugs. Perhaps worst of all was his belief that medical lawsuits must stop -- which suggests he believes fraudulent insurance companies and malpractice surgeons shouldn't suffer the consequences of illicit behavior.
Who do you trust -- insurance companies or our beloved government? Excuse me for being a "koolaid-drinker," but I trust my government!
God Bless America and President Barack Obama!
