Barack Obama Has Ruined College Football

Somebody tell the conference CEO's that this was not the change Obama was talking about. Yes, he did want to do something about the BCS but he was not talking about totally re-aligning each conference. I blame Obama for not being very clear with his message. College football is at threat level midnight and the clock is currently sitting at 11:58:59. That is 59 seconds in case you are wondering. With news today that Nebraska is all but a sure thing in the Big 10 we are undoubtedly going to see some major movement in the college football landscape.

Did I miss the Big 12's demise? I mean every team in the conference wants out. What is that all about? For years I have considered the Big 12 the second best conference behind the SEC but now every team in it wants out. Change can be a good thing but I think this is too much. I don't think people understand that we are going to potentially have a completely different setup next year. I have been a diehard college football fan for the last 12 years and I can recognize that something may ultimately need to be done with the postseason but don't mess with the conferences. They each have their own identity and I don't want to spend the next 10 years figuring out new identities for each new conference.
