Barack Obama: The Next President of These 50 States?

Kendall S.
Barack Obama was born on August 4, 1961, in Hawaii. After spending much time in Hawaii, Kenya, and Ann Dunham (Kansas) he moved to New York and graduated from Columbia University in 1983. A few years later, in 1985, he moved to Chicago to become a community organizer planning to help some of the poor living conditions in some areas that had much crime and unemployment. Soon after his job in Chicago became a success, he decided to take his career to the level of government and politics. He went on to earn his first law degree from Harvard in 1991. While at Harvard, he became the first African-American to be president of the Harvard Law Review. He then returned to Chicago to practice as a civil rights lawyer, and also to teach constitutional law. That whole stretch of learning and teaching withing law, government and politics finally lead him to be a Democrat in the Illinois state senate, where he stayed for eight years. By 2004, he was the third African American to be elected to the United States Senate, since reconstruction. Barack Obama helped with the plan that, in just three years, led to over $100 million in tax cuts to many families across the state of Illinois. He also pushed law enforcements to require the videotaping of all interrogations, after finding many inmates on death row to be completely innocent. Barack Obama has also worked with the government in passing many laws that deal with the war, and deal with the average American family, or the not so average.

Barack Obama has definitely been a role model for myself and many people that want to pass laws that have affects on MANY people across the United States and farther. I am very happy that a person with his track record is running for a position as high as the United States President. I am also very pleased to hear that him and Hilary Clinton are in a virtual tie for the Presidential Race of '08. I also do believe that Hilary Clinton would make a very good president seeing that he husband was a president. I would like to see either Democrat win. Barack Obama has also already received social security from the government which very much makes me happy. He is a good person, and I would be delighted to see him be the next president of the United States of America, and I think that he could do great things for this country.

They said heavier than air flying machines were impossible and no one would want to watch talking pictures. 39% of Democrat Iowans that went out to caucus think Obama is a good choice for President in '09. So do I. Yes, we can, if we have the faith of a grain of mustard seed or something like that.

He has a degree in international relation from Columbia university-one of the prestigious school in the country. He has lived outside of the country as a child, probably even speaks one or two foreign languages. He was a constitutional law professor before starting being involved in politics. He has passed more than 800 bills as a state senator that range from health care to racial profiling and death penalty. Are you comparing all this to George Bush experience before coming to office? I think actually Bush's experience is similar to HILLARY. Similar to Hillary, Bush was in the white house for more than 8 years. Is that what you call experience? With all the experience they are talking about all the others voted for the war, and see where it lead us? I think he is the best candidate for a new day in this country.

While I had a great feeling for Obama when he spoke at the 2004 Democratic Convention and felt and that he was a possible future president. I have to say, I really believe he is in over his head with the idea of a presidential post, at this point in his career. Our country cannot afford to teach on the job, at this time. Please notice what has happened with a President who knew next to nothing when coming in in 2000. Of course, being the son of a President and a governor really is not much of resume. Again, I do like Obama, but think Hillary is years ahead of him. Her experience outweighs his, and so does her basic knowledge of foreign relations, health care, and very issue that faces America. I would like to see Obama in a future presidential race, but not this one.
