Barack Obama Palling Around with Bill Ayers? Hey That's My Job!

Frank Mucci
Pardon me if I sound pissed, but I just found out that I have been cheated on. It seems that presidential candidate Barack Obama has been palling around with '60s radical Bill Ayers.

The other day, no less an authority than Sarah Palin, who knows a thing or two about palling around with Joe Six Packs and hockey moms, told us that Obama "is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

The "terrorists" Sarah was referring to is Bill Ayers. Apparently she thinks the "s" at the end of Ayer pluralizes Bill, thus making him more than one terrorist. See, after only a couple of months, I have learned how to speak fluent Sarah Palin.

But that's not the point. The point is that Bill Ayers and I have been palling around for many, many years and NOT ONCE did he ever mention to me that he was also palling around with Obama.

Bill and I have been palling around ever since we first made plans to blow up the teacher's lounge back when we were in kindergarten together. In fact, we have palled around just about every day ever since. We palled around at terrorist meetings; we palled around at bomb-building seminars; we even palled around at the Pentagon. So how the hell could he even find time to pal around with Obama?

"How could this be?" I asked myself as tears poured down my cheeks.

There were no telltale signs. Not once did he accidentally call me Barack as we engaged in our favorite pastime of palling around. Not once did he say, "I just love palling around with you, Barack...I, I mean Frank." Never did I catch him arriving late when we had a date to pal around. There were no phone calls with lame excuses; no whiffs of someone else's cologne. I was certain that we had an exclusive palling around relationship.

But apparently I was wrong, and it hurts--it hurts real, real bad.

Even if it is true that Obama has been palling around with Bill Ayers, he still couldn't possibly be as big a pal to Bill as I am.

Who was there, bringing the baked beans to the annual American Terrorists Picnic at Grant Park while palling around with Bill Ayers this past summer? It wasn't Barack Obama. It was me!

Who was there, palling around with Bill Ayers at the 40th anniversary celebration of the 1968 Democratic Convention riots? Barack Obama? Hell no, it was me!

When the late Abby Hoffman approached me many years ago and asked if I'd pal around with him, did I do it? No! I was Bill's pal and ONLY Bill's pal.

As you can see, I have pretty much given my life to Bill. I am hurt and I feel used. So I am taking this opportunity to announce that I am no longer palling around with Bill Ayers and I am looking for someone new to pal around with.

Hmmm, I wonder if Charles Keating is available.

Kai, you either didn't read my article or you don't understand humor. Otherwise you would understand that I am saying virtually what you are ranting about. PLEASE read the articles before commenting.

First of all it doesn't matter what Bill Ayers said, felt or thought, that was him, not President to be Barack Obama. You people kill me, trying to guilt someone when there is nothing to feel guilty about. If Bill Ayers was such a feared and hated man, how the hell did America allow him to become a professor. Barack had nothing to do with that. So let me get this straight, America allows this guy to soar up the economic ladder, and no one is complaining, but one man serves on a committee with the guy, (once again having nothing to do with Bill Ayers being there) but he is looked at as paling around with a terrorist. Give me a break. I wish at times that Barack was as petty as the racist McCain fans, racist Sarah Palin and desparate John McCain. Because I don't believe John is racist, he just doesn't mind it if racism helps him out.
You people are novices, at even being racists. I thank God the racist of today, are like they were sixt years ago.

Frank, Bill Ayers sounds like a real slut! You're better off without him. To Sheryl (since I can't ask Sarah Palin; nor can the media evidently): What's your point exactly? Is Ayers on the Obama ticket? No. Is Ayers up for a position in Obama's cabinet? No. Was Obama "palling" around with Ayers back when Ayers committed his crimes? No, Barack was 8 years old. Was the Woods Fund set up to destroy America or to improve education? Hmm, pretty sure it was the latter. You (and the McCain campaign) can rant and rave about Bill Ayers all you want; it truly has no impact, as we've seen in recent weeks. It's a distraction, plain and simple. And it's not going to work.

You've put a funny angle on this - but nothing takes away from the fact that, during the time Obama and Ayers worked together on the Woods Fund (1999-2002), Ayers was interviewed after 9/11/01 and said he still wasn't sorry about all the bombing he did in the 70's, and that he should have done even more. Ayers' group that he co-founded, The Weather Underground - including him and his wife Bernadette Dorn, one of the FBI's Most Wanted Women back then, was responsible for 10 bombs in and around D.C. They sought to bring the American government to its knees. To this day, Ayers hasn't denied it.
