Barack Obama: Thoughts on Solving Our Economic Woes

Needed Change in Abandoning Globalism and Appeasement

Betsy Ross
Below is an open letter I recently forwarded, as a former long term border state resident to my state elected leaders, with respect to stablizing our economy and the safety and security of American citizens, a goal which was touted by both Barack Obama and John McCain, but whose agendas clearly were and are driven more by global appeasement, than by American protectionism - a precept clearly set forth and supported by the clear terms of our U.S. Constitution. Jefferson, who supported France's overthrow of their corrupted monarchy and revolution, did not sacrifice America's new founded freedom nor commit American military support for their efforts. Global appeasement since World War II has now almost brought America to it's knees, and destruction now of our economy in engaging in non-defensive wars, and aligning ourselves with agendas which are not in the best interests of our own country's economic welfare but foreign concerns. K Street lobbyists continue to line up at the Congressional trough for foreign aid, while our own country's security and economy continues to pay the price. A vision the founders, in their wildest dreams, would not entertain or support - whether federalist or antifederalist.

Initially the letter is with respect to alternatives for securing our southern borders, as a multiple victim of that governmental negligence, but addresses also the relevance that in it's failure to so do, clearly our economic decline is directly tied to our governmental leader's continued failure to focus on their actual primary function and enumerated powers, rather than in engaging in the U.N.'s global socialism agenda with respect to foreign policy, and becoming the global police and political asylum for all comers.

Dear Governor and Legislators:

Below is a link to some information a British security firm has developed with respect to infrared laser perimeter security. Although not yet officially announced,

if Governor Napolitano is eventually selected as the new head of the Department of Homeland Insecurity, the ones responsible for the "free pass" visa

waivers now for citizens from 40 different countries*, including Great Britain (the shoe bomber's home) since she is so fundamentally against the double fencing passed by Congress in 2006, as is Mr. Chertoff apparently, this might be well worth looking into.

It would appear to me that an infrared system would be most cost effective and environmentally friendly to boot. Although I'm sure would be fairly expensive

to install initially, eventually the costs would go down in reducing the amount of manpower then needed at our southern borders especially. Right now it is costing $70,000 per year in salary, not including benefits, for each agent and unless there are enough agents hired to provide a man made wall eventually, since a great deal of the drug trafficking and human smugglers do not enter through any official ports of entry, means much more is needed than agents at an even great cost in both salaries and potentially lives and also many of whom as human are also corruptible due to the huge amounts of money involved in both the human smuggling, automobile theft rings and drug trafficking, and potential terrorists from oil rich nations pouring over those southern borders especially.

If we can secure homes with such systems, it would appear that we have had the technology to secure those borders for literally decades, but instead our governmental officials at both the federal and state levels are more interested in appeasing our allies and America's big business profit margins, than performing their primary duties - providing for the common defense of this nation and it's people. If this is not done and not done soon, not only is this nation ripe for another 9/11 eventually, there will be another war on this continent due to the increasing birthrate populations of Mexico and South America who are and will continue to migrate northward, legally or otherwise, while our own food supplies are dwindling due to our priorities in developing high tech jobs and industry and rather than protecting our agricultural base in order to provide for America's population. Our farmlands and agricultural base are shrinking at an enormous rate, and the oil shortage of today will soon become the food shortage of tomorrow.

And per the founder's vision and Constitutional provision, "protectionism" of America and Americans first and foremost is inherently the entire basis of our

founding documents, and U.S. Constitution, not alliances with foreign nations that compromise our own national security, which is exactly what has been the status quo since World War II and is what is clearly destroying this country, and enabled terrorist organizations to infiltrate here in the first place. Stimulating the Mexican economy has clearly now affected America's own in both jobs and lives, and our laizze faire attitudes toward securing our borders while the Middle East continues to be a powder keg of anti-American sentiment at this point is beyond ridiculous. It is apparent that the general feeling of those on the Hill must be that each and every American life lost to a foreigner is simply the price you pay for a global economy and the jobs and the economies of America's corporate conglomerates.

After the cabinet announcements of last week, it appears that the only change there is truly going to be in the Barack Obama administration, is a change in mouthpieces. It stands to reason as the "visionary," he has represented himself to be with his "change" agenda, that you would surround yourself with those that share the vision, not Washington insiders or even those state "recycled" Clinton advisors.....and it's clear the vision of globalism is shared vision across both sides of the aisle. No matter how many American lives are lost. A candidate who espouses diplomacy selecting Hillary Clinton rather than someone with diplomatic credentials (such as an Embassy Official or Ambassador) does appear that perhaps that is why the definition of the change which Barack Obama represented was ill defined and now more akin to a superficial change in corporate political party affiliation after all.

The Brits as an island would seem to have a more massive security problem than the U.S., yet this country suffered the worst internal breach and civilian deaths since World War II.

The technology to complete border security already exists. So I do hope that at least one minimal changes needed would be in focusing back on our national security and immigration issues, as a contributory factor in what potentially has the power to economically anniliate this country. Focusing on creating new jobs while giving away those in this country that already exist to foreigners just might be why our economy now is such a mess. Outsourcing and insourcing, globalism, is what is responsible for the economic bankruptcy of the lower and middle classes. It certainly doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out, much less a graduate of Harvard as Barack Obama, or a border state even part-time resident such as John McCain.

Or even a border state legislature and Governor, or for that matter, any state legislature or governor since absolutely no state has been spared some of the impact of our open borders in the criminal drug trafficking and unemployment statistics. At this point seven years post 9/11, there is absolutely no excuse for this national security and economic breach to continue. In addressing the economic challenges and unemployment facing this country without addressing the national security and border issues, and allowance of massive foreign immigration to this country post 9/11 is similar to putting the cart before the horse.
