Barack Obama Threatens Legal Action with Online Pedophile

Disadvantages of Being a Public Figure

Dave Ickes
Senator Barack Obama, Senator from Illinois and Presidential candidate, is threatening legal action against a self-described pedophile. Lindsay Ashford, the owner of a website called puellula.org, has posted photos of the politician's young daughters. He purports to handicap the odds of winning the Presidency by evaluating the "cuteness" of underage daughters and granddaughters of While House aspirants. Evidently, Obama is not the only politician who has received Mr. Ashford's attention. Obama's lawyer, Robert Bauer, sent a letter to Mr. Ashford demanding the removal of a photo of the Senator's two daughters.

Evidently Mr. Ashford has no qualms about his pedophile tendencies. His creepy website clearly states on the front page "a celebration of the splendor of little girls". His website, registered in Panama, goes on to state, "I have been bestowed with the gift of girl love. I have chosen to unmask here because I have a very strong conviction that I should not be forced to hide my sexual orientation".

Highlights from the two page letter sent to Lindsay Ashford follow.

"It has come to our attention that the main page of your website, puellula.org...is using an image of "Senator Obama's two your children and a link to Senator Obama's campaign website..."

"Your site advocates pedophilia, particularly with respect to young girls....Your inclusion of a picture...creates two highly misleading and untrue impressions: First, that Senator Obama ...shares your views, and second, that Senator Obama...has authorized or sponsored your site, or are affiliated or associated with you in any way..."

"Your actions are particularly objectionable - if not outright dangerous - because you have included a picture of Senator Obama's young daughters on a site advocating pedophilia with young girls, heightening the risk they face. This is not simply defamatory, but is a criminal act..."

"We must insist that you:

1)
Immediately and permanently remove all references to Senator Obama, his family, and Obama for America, including the picture ...and any links to http://www.barackobama.com.

2)
Forever refrain from including references to or pictures of Senator Obama, his family, and Obama for America, including the picture...

3)
Confirm in writing that you have done so."

"In light of the urgency of the matter, we must insist that you take the steps outlined above immediately. This correspondence is without limitation of the rights or remedies of Senator Obama...including the right to pursue civil remedies and criminal referral. Failure to comply with this demand may result in any of these actions."

The letter was signed by Robert F. Bauer, General Counsel for the Obama for America committee. It was dated February 26, 2007.

I hope that the current Obama administration does something about people like Ed Magedson of the RipOff Report found at http://www.ripoffreport.com, who has apparently ruined millions of people's lives and businesses for no reason, some apparently even committing suicide, with complete and total immunity and impunity, due to a little loophole in defamation law called the CDA 230.

Hi, "Your Name". As a Christian myself, I find it interesting that you would use the Bible to condone your condemnation of Mr. Ashford for his thoughts. Yet did you know that the Bible does not condemn him? Sure, he's a sinner, but aren't we all? His desire is directed towards little girls, but most men like women too, even those who are not their wives, do we accuse them of perversion for that? Have you ever considered the fact that there is no minimum age for marriage to be found anywhere in the Bible? Neither is pedophilia spoken against by the Word of God, even though sodomy, bestiality and incest are forbidden. Please, don't be so quick to judge another, for you do not know but what you may be judged with by your own standard! God bless you, if indeed you are a brother in Christ.

Just reading this column again after Sen. Obama was elected a month ago as our next president...I do hope time is swift in justice towards sick people who are pedophiles and people who decide to publicly defame others like our president. People are entitled to their opinions of like/dislike...but some people were obviously not raised to be Good people who try to build others up. I am a Nebraska republican, but I fully stand by Barrack and any other would-be president...this is an honored office (as all political offices) and anyone who chooses to mess with these public servents will get their just reward! I pray our great country rallies behind Barrack and God lifts us up.

But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble; Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm; Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.
    (Proverbs 4:19,26,27)

So my friend, I suppose a man running a site educating women about how to avoid date rape is really just a guy putting himself in the public eye to avoid drawing attention to his date-raping ways? Yeah, right!

    Quoting Gary
"Well, this Ashford guy does say that he's not a child molester. I highly doubt a real child molester would expose himself publicly with such a site. At least he has the guts to admit he is attracted to young girls. I think a lot of people feel the same way but won't admit it."
Have you heard the saying "Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer"? Well Ashford putting himself in the public eye is what people would "Least" expect a person like him to do, cons use that tactic all the time to steer the focus or suspicions off of them

So Scott wants someone stoned to death because they happen to love young girls. That's real open-minded buddy! Maybe all bigots should be stoned to death...

  • Scott3/25/2007

I went to Lindsay Ashfords sight and now hope he gets stonned to death. Sick Barstard.

When I first saw this site, I threw up. He has to be stopped and continuing to use the Obama shows no respect of a family man. As a survivor of childhood abuse, I pray Mr. Obama can get this guy and the men/women on there taken down. God Bless you Mr. Obama

I don't know why people like this Barack Obama guy when he's just as much as a sell out as any other politician I've ever seen! Give me a break, Puellula is a human rights web site and there's nothing wrong with anything Lindsay has ever said or done on it!

  • Brian3/5/2007

Lindsay has provided a full copy of the letter where the lawyer claims that pedophilia is "sex with children", which is untrue. The legal threats will not stand in court, as pedophilia is not a legal term, it's a medical defintion describing a sexual attraction to children.
