President-Elect Barack Obama Gives Thanks to Supporters
With your great passion and voice,
you've made the right choice,
but, uh, about all those Yes We Cans.
Um, it's gonna be a little harder than I thought.
George Bush made a mess,
and I must confess,
i never imagined much past the election I bought.
I could really use a little more of your help.
Joe Biden seems useless,
my wife is just clueless,
and the rest of my party is as intelligent as kelp.
I realize I promised you free health care,
cutting taxes for the poor,
and ending the war,
but it looks like I really can't help you all there.
This special Thanksgiving will be a change from before
no crappy meetings with terrorists
no special interest christmas lists
just me and the family kicking in the White House door.
I truly wish you all the best
settling your debt
while trying to forget
that Barack Hussein Obama is King of the West!

to those with a sense of humor... thank you for your comments.... to the nameless person, why are you so afraid of me using Barack Hussein Obama's middle name? it wasn't a "point-prover" it helped the flow of the limerick. what point would i be proving? why are liberals angry when people mention the messiah, er, obama's middle name? settle down people, you don't seem to mind throwing in an H. between Jesus and Christ once in awhile.
p.s. I hope Obama does help our country, but I'm realistic and don't spend my time "hoping" for things.... i'd rather spend my time writing this shitty poem
