Bargains On More Expensive Clothing

Sometimes you need more than just your ordinary casual or work clothes. Sometimes you're in the market for more expensive clothes, like a prom dress for your daughter, an evening dress or even a wedding dress.

A lot of people like to shop on eBay for these types of clothing, and I don't know about you, but I'm not into bidding. I am into checking my own city for bargains however. You can do the same by going to craigslist.com looking for anything you may want.

Once you find something, there may be a picture showing what it looks like and the size, if there isn't a picture, you can always may arrangements to go see the item for yourself. Bargains In Your Own Closet

Yes, you can find bargains in your own closet! I did this to some of my two year old clothes, when I was in high school, and my old plain shoes.

Take all the clothes you haven't worn in a while, and your plain flat shoes or pumps and dress them up by either sewing on or clipping on coordinating accessories.

Take a piece of clothing and add trim, or a scarf, or a contrasting belt. Take your plain shoes and add clip on bows or buckles. You may even want to dye them another color.

This is such an easy fix to finding clothes bargains. Just dress up what you already have and have fun with it. A friend of mine has a black tight skirt that has a matching jacket she always wore with it.

The other day she wore that black skirt with a white shirt-tail blouse on the outside, and accented it with a pair or red dangling earrings, a wide red belt with white polka-dots, and 3 inch heels that matched the belt. Everyone thought it was a new outfit!

Bargains In Clothes Swapping

This is what my friend and I use to do in high school. We swapped clothes and shoes all the time, but we always added something different to them, so people were never the wiser.

So if you have some really good friends whose taste in clothes and shoes is the same as yours, and you happen to be around the same size, why not suggest this idea to them.

If they agree, make it a swapping party - where everyone brings their clothes over - and you swamp. If someone picked something you wanted, just wait a few months and have the swapping party again.

Like I said earlier, finding bargains on clothes and accessories doesn't have to be a chore. All you have to do is a little searching, researching and convincing your friends.

If all else fails, you can always find clothing and accessory bargains at your local thrift stores. If you shop in the upscale part of your town, you could possibly find very good bargains on name brand clothes. Try it.
