Barnsley V Norwich: Match Preview

James Kent
Norwich goes into this tricky away test on the back of a plucky 1-0 home win and whatever anyone says winning breeds confidence. The big decisions will have to be made and the temptation will be to go again the same way. That would mean an unchanged team, but that is unlikely. Dejan Stefanovic is fit again and Cureton is knocking on the door after setting up Lee Croft's sublime goal on Saturday. Whatever Roeder decides it is fairly obvious that Cureton will make an appearance at some point as Lupoli can't get 90 minutes in. Omar Koroma will also be hoping for an opportunity following his goal in the reserves.

The biggest decisions for Roeder are likely to come at the back, last week it was an all new back four, but they managed a clean sheet. It was a case of needs must with injuries and loss of form forcing the hand of the manager. This time it is a little difference with Dejan available for selection. For the life of me I cannot see a situation where Dejan wouldn't return and he should be partnered with Grounds. After all it was the Middlesborough loanee who looked the more impressive part of the Grounds and Omozusi combo. Drury can expect to be left out at the expense of Bertrand and Otsemobor would be very unlucky to miss out.

Into the Midfield should come Hoolahan on the left following an impressive substitute appearance in the last match. Hero Croft will certainly start on the right and it will be Russell and Fotheringham in the middle. Up front it is likely to be Cureton and Sibierski. Injuries have ruled out Clinghan, Kennedy and Bell.

Like last season Norwich will go to Oakwell and arrive back to Norfolk with three precious points. I will go for a 3-1 win with Cureton finally ending his goal drought.
