City On A Hill Productions is a high-quality, non-profit production company that uses the language of film to tell contemporary stories of faith that speak to the heart.
City On A Hill has produced a variety of short dramatic
films and multi-episode DVD based small group studies that put faith in a modern context. A feature film called Underground is in the works focusing on the life of Richard Wurmbrand, founder of Voice of the Martyrs.
"We have been creating film properties for several years," said City On A
Hill Executive Director Tony Young. "We have so many of the right elements already in place, but we realized that we needed an industry savvy person who could help us navigate the business and marketing waters. Barry Landis is that person and we are all glad to have him on board."
City On A Hill Productions has two products currently in the marketplace, The Easter Experience, available through their distribution relationship with Thomas Nelson as well as H20, a small group study series available through City On A Hill Studio. Next up, City On A Hill Studio will release another cinematic small group study called Not A Fan.
The Not A Fan series was born out of a sermon series by Kyle Idleman, who is a teaching minister at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Not A Fan challenges the believer with the question: Are you a fan or a follower of Jesus? The six episode series takes the viewer along one man's journey from "fan" to "follower".
