Bartender is the second song that came off of R&B/Hip-Hop singer T-Pain's second album called Epiphany. This song features Akon. This song debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at spot number 97. It was able to make it all the way to spot five. This was T-Pain's fourth straight song that has reached the top ten single on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. This was also Akon's ninth top ten single to make it onto this chart. This song was nominated for the Best R&B Performance by Duo or Group in 2008. The video was first shown on Yahoo! Music on June 13, 2007 as a bonus video. The video shows T-Pain dancing in front of a bar and flirting with the bartender. Two remixes have been made. They feature rappers The Dream and Trae. This song was released on June 5, 2007. It can be purchased as a digital download as well as a CD single. Bartender runs 3:58 in length. It was produced by T-Pain and has been certified for its sales. It has been certified as platinum by the RIAA and certified as gold by the RIANZ.

This song was released after the song Buy U A Drank and is the single that was released before the release of Shawty. For Akon, This song was released after Mama Africa and was the song released before The Way She Moves. This is not the first time Akon and T-Pain have collaborated for a song, too. They released We Takin' Over in 2007. They also ended up releasing another song together later on in 2007, titled Who the F--- Is That?

It reached the top of the New Zealand Singles Chart on July 16, 2007, until it got bumped off by Fergie's single Big Girls Don't Cry. This song knocked off Rihanna's Umbrella on this chart for the top spot. Bartender was also able to reach as high as forty-sixth on the Candian Hot 100.
