Bart's Full Frontal Controversy in The Simpsons Movie
Why There is Too Much Apprehension About the Naked Simpsons Character
A full frontal movie scene may not be suitable for all audiences, especially young children. Nevertheless, Bart Simpson's nude scene does not violate any ethical rights in its context. This concern about "The Simpsons Movie" is being taken to unnecessary extremes. Some movie critics and entertainment journalists believe that Bart Simpson's full frontal scene may damage the potential revenue for "The Simpsons Movie". This is due to the objection from parents and other citizens regarding the appropriateness for this particular sight. It is believed that "The Simpsons Movie" will not make as much money that it could if Bart Simpson's full frontal scene was not included in the picture.
On the contrary, this skepticism and public speaking may indeed create more interest in "The Simpson's Movie". It is unfortunate that this interest will more than likely be influenced by the desire to see Bart Simpson naked. The movie going public will want to know what all the fuss is about. This can help to boost box office receipts and demand for "The Simpsons Movie". Hopefully, this frenzy over Bart Simpson's full frontal scene will not bring a cloud over the movie as a whole. The Simpsons franchise has been successful because it never disappoints the fans and audience.
It is a creation that entertains and surely has more to offer in "The Simpsons Movie" than Bart's controversial nakedness. Making a big deal out of one simple aspect definitely takes away from the Simpson's' honor and is disrespectful to their history of success. The Simpsons have been naked in numerous episodes on their Fox time slot. This animated program has included many controversial themes and actions. Yet, they have still been able to keep the entertainment within acceptable limits. The Simpsons is not as offensive as South Park. If that were the case, The Simpsons would not have lasted as long on broadcast television.
This cartoon has loyal fans who will continue to follow it for decades and through generations to come. There is an easy solution for those who are offended when it comes to "The Simpsons Movie". Parents who are concerned about their children seeing Bart Simpson full frontal should not take their kids to watch the movie. There is nothing wrong with opting for a less "offensive" cartoon or movie deemed more kid-friendly. Do not complain about one animated film when there are tons of others to choose from.
"The Simpsons Movie" is just a cartoon. It is not real and was produced for mere entertainment. Many people are acting like 20th Century Fox is releasing one of Jenna Jameson's movies. Call something offensive when the shoe fits. Bart Simpson's full frontal scene does not fit. Citizens should keep that in mind and create arguments that are worthwhile.

Post a CommentI am a big fan of this show, watching almost every episode of it. For me, it's not really a big deal. It's still a best movie for me. Go Springfield! Doh!!
what's the big deal about seeing Bart's Dick?? it is only a cartoon, not a real kid, besides Iam sure if the lady who left the previous message was worried about her kids seeing bart in a full frontal nudity,it is only a cartoon, not porn! besides that iam sure your kids have seen alot more than what they tell you. If you have both a boy and a girl iam sure they have seen each other nude, so what's the diffrence?? I myself found the whole movie wonderful.
The film is a PG in the UK meaning anyone of any age can watch or buy it if they're capable of taking it off the shelf and up to the counter. Generally I thought the film was typical of the Simpsons (enjoyable and funny but not as enjoyable and funny as it used to be). This scene though, should've been cut. Despite it being a cartoon, exposed child genetalia is never appropriate. And just as beeping out swearing is often funnier than swearing itself so too is a censor shape over nudity instead of actual nudity.
It's been a year. yay!
Isn't it actually his hand and finger?
I dont see what the big deal is. its a pg13 movie and barts penis was very small and not even hairy. It was very funny! im 15 and im a guy and i didnt mind it, i thought it was funny. it was just a cartoon! gawsh people!!!
I do agree with Mark, if it was Lisa's vagina, many feamles would have been very, very mad and I don't think that the censors would have allowed a "vagina cartoon" in a PG13 movie, since the "vagina" is still a taboo in this country, not that I'm against showing penises, but if they are going to show penises why not showing "vaginas". Whoever was behind this knew that a penis was not going to get cut or an "R" for that matter, but he also nkew that a vagina would have caused a "roar" among female audiences and an "R" rating, now that only male nudity is the only acceptable for "moms" while female nudity would have made to the "news" and even to the "congress". In other words, women dominate ratings, men are forced to accepted, that means not "vaginas" on movies or cartoons but tons of penises on both.
American censors are either gay or hypocrits, the only think that they are getting with this is to please female audiences, so guys looks like porn is the only way that a "vagina" is goi
What if this were Lisa's scene? I bet it would cause an uproar with many females. Why is ok to show male genitals but not a females. There is a huge increase of graphic full frontal male nudity, but a vagina will never be shown. Don't even compare female breasts to a penis either, because they are not comparable.
(If parents do have objections to their children seeing a naked 10 year old then they should not allow their children to watch it.)
Can't you see the insane irony in this as it means that parents should not allow their children to see themselves as they undress or take a bath?! Maybe invent special neck-blocker so they can't look down and remove all the mirrors from the house? LOL. These concerns are the final proof that adults and expecially parents are way less mature than children.
All those parents and everyone who think there's something wrong in that scene is just insane and should be locked for good and stay miles from whatever child including theirs.
I can't think of anything more dangerous than a person who believes there's something offensive and traumatic in the human body.
The most funny think about this is that if you think you child shouldn't be exposed to this kind of stuff you should make sure to cover his eyes while he is having a bath or a shower.
This is ridiculus and only someone completely out of his/her mind can really believe that nudity is traumatic or harmful is any way on the other hand having parents who think nudity if offensive and damaging and who force their children to live in heavy repression and shame, THAT'S A TRAUMA!
I say jail the parents who think this scene is dangerous for their children and you have automatically solved 90% of the problems of this world. It's children that grow with parents like that, that end up
