Basic 100's Vs. Pall Mall 100's

A Guide for Buying the Best Cheap Cigarettes

Johanna Swith
After the federal cigarette tax increase of April 1st, 2009 many people can no longer afford their regular brand of cigarettes and are searching for a more affordable option. I have tried a few different brands of cigarettes and in this review I will focus on 2 different brands and flavors, Pall Mall Blue 100's and Basic Full flavor 100's in an effort to help smokers save money and purchase a good quality of cigarettes for their smoking pleasures.

I bought Basic 100's because they were about a dollar cheaper than my normal brand. I feel like I got really ripped off on this purchase. Not only were the cigarettes almost 6 dollars per pack, but also they tasted really bad. I can smoke just about anything, and these cigarettes were so bad it took me two days to finish the pack! I prefer any brand to Basic 100 full flavor cigarettes. I have heard so many people say they are not that bad, but in my opinion they are terrible and if basics were the only brand I could ever have again I would quit smoking fast.

I tried Pall Mall blues, or light 100's last week. As I stood in line considering what cheap brand to get, I heard the man in front of me in line purchase Pall Mall's for a great price of $3.80, compared to $6 a pack for Basics that sounded pretty good to me. I did not expect Pall Malls to be as great tasting and long lasting as they are. I have been really impressed with the Pall Mall Blue Light 100 cigarettes. They are literally about half the price of Basics, Camels and Marlboro's and they have a nice flavor and they burn for a very long time.

Times are tough for everyone, and smokers are especially finding it harder to feed their addiction for nicotine. If you are considering switching to a cheaper brand of cigarettes but are concerned about a nasty aftertaste or a poor quality of cigarette, try out the Pall Mall line of cigarettes. They have many styles and strengths of cigarettes at a really great price. I will continue to purchase cigarettes from the Pall Mall family as long as I am a smoker. I know the prices for cigarettes will never decrease, so I am glad to have found an affordable alternative. I would recommend the Pall Mall brand of cigarettes to any smoker.
