However, once people began to realize the profitability of a successful blog, they used it to their advantage, while keeping their readers satisfied at the same time. Today, the concept of blogging and earning has become so widespread, that there is an absolute plethora of blogs trying to start and record their own cash quest. Unfortunately, the majority of them are less spectacular, so I've got some tips for those who want to start their own blogs, and see it climb the ladder of success gradually.
Most blogs you see everywhere, are hosted on the free and wonderful Blogger platform. I agree to the fact that they have recently come up with some great improvements, and implementations of some great Web 2.0 features, etc. But, get a unique look. Blogger still has the same collection of templates that it started out with. They have not at all expanded on their template collection. Using their default templates make all of the sites looking almost the same, and not at all inspiring. It does not take long to design and implement an original header. And once you do it, it sets you apart from the rest. Moreover, your readers have a sense of devotion towards you, since they feel proud to be a part of an original blog, rather than just any other pre-made template. If you can't or don't want to design an original header, change the template, color scheme, etc at the very least.
Next most important part is to get some content. Most bloggers/blogs, start promoting and hunting for traffic after just 1 post. If I visit a blog with just 1 or 2 posts the chances of me ever going back to that blog are zero, forget linking to it! Spend around 2 weeks - 1 month to fill your blog up with quality content. Remember, simply copying and pasting content from elsewhere will surely get you quantity. But, visitors and search engines alike always frown on duplicate content. Your content should always be unique, catered to your blog, written in a way that resembles your blog's atmosphere. Unique content not only attracts more readerships, it also generates backlinks for your blog when other bloggers quote your articles and linkback to you.
Once you have a blog up and running with atleast 10-15 posts to start off with, you can start promoting it. Remember, earning money is your aim; not your prior concern. Get your blog up and running, build readership, get backlinks. Popularize your blog, and you'll be surprised at the fact that the cash rolls in naturally. Always remember, once you achieve your aim of making money via your blog, keep up with your quality. Never compromise on your quality. The benefits in the long term are great.
